??? What point are you trying to make? How do you know what I do with my time? You are just making an assumption which is ridiculous on your part. I live in New York as a working musician. I have been to at least 3 art shows in the past two months. I attended the Thelonius Monk piano competition last month. I easily have seen at least two documentaries since the lockout began. All of this before I saw a single NBA game or NFL for that matter. Is it that hard for you to believe that some people have culture? You have the ability to do any of the things you mentioned if you cared enough about them. You can't watch basketball because there is a lockout. I really don't see your point.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post, so let me give you an example. I am assuming you have no idea what the Macarthur foundation is so I will inform you. The Macarthur Genius Grant awards 500k to people with very unique skillsets, who are among the best in the world at what they do. It is given to those who push the boundaries of their field. (Arts, Sciences, ect...) 500k is on par with the NBA league minimum. To these people it is a huge financial boost. I know from experience, having studied under two McArthur winners myself. You mean to tell me that the leagues worst players deserve at best, equal compensation to some of the most brilliant minds of our generation?

What a horribly ignorant statement on your part.

NBA athletes who have trained most of their life to play in the NBA, mostly have an average of 4 years to use their only real skill.

The players are negotiating to take less money & let's be clear that's not going to lower ticket prices, it just lines the owners pockets

NBA has remained determined in talks today to reconfigure a system that allows for players to accept a 50-50 BRI split. league sources say.

Nash taking a page from the Obama class warfare playbook.

The players are negotiating to take less money because their only skill is bouncing a ball around and they have no leverage.

Form your own league and run it. Oh wait, you have no clue how to do that, and no resources.

    Via Steve Nash's Twitter:
"Why are the owners unwilling to negotiate in good faith? As a player I apologize to the fans that we're in this position"

I got Battier on twitter and he seems like one of those "rank and file" players that the media is reporting that would agree to a 50/50 split.

Nash doesn't have any more idea what is going on in the negotiations than you or I. He has agreed to use his name to spin the situation in favor of the union. As a dues-paying union member, he is free to do so. In my estimation he needs a little more work to have it come across less manufactured, but he can use his Twitter account as he sees fit.

Oh please, Nash with his moral superiority #standunited garbage. Yes Nash, you're a crusader for the working man, fighting those evil fat cat owners.

    It's a contract negotiation ffs.
