Not surprising that Harden gave an ultimatum. Paul has a history of being abrasive. It’s one thing to be an ass when you are a threat for 30 and 15 on any given night but it’s another thing when you are a threat to miss 15-30 games. For all of his on the court success, Paul has always rub teammates the wrong way. Look at his exit from N.O and LAC for example. Former teammates like Ryan Hollins have said in so many words that Paul is an ass.

It's going to be hell here during this WB-Harden era.

I feel like it will be Yao vs Tmac and Harden vs Lin all over again.

I think Westbrook is going to win over a lot of fans with his passion and emotion and we are going to get a lot of WOFs...we Rocket fans need to be vigilant.

 

I'm OK with this move. I was only a CP3 fan while he was here.Oft injured at the worst possible times and a shadow on his former self.

WB is younger, and has a better overall game at this point. Only way to get another MVP candidate was trading out an aging star and a couple picks, i'm OK with that. AND my MVP player wants to play with him. Sign me up.

To eject from CP3 without giving up Tucker, Gordon or Capella. Win Win Win.

Imagine a world in which Harden and Westbrook both have a Triple Double on the same night... Now it's a possibility. CP3 was never going to give you that.

Harden vs Lin was created because he had a huge influx of fans who weren't Rockets fans join.

Tmac vs Yao was a good one because Tmac was ball dominant but Yao was dominant in the paint if they ever got him the ball


What did the tmac/yao , harden/lin combos have in common? first round exits

I don't see this team ever exiting in the first round, or even second

 

This is my thinking as well.

Westbrook is at least much better in isolation than Paul.

He can also create his own shot which only 2 people on this team could do semi consistently.

Westbrook did show he could take a step back for George last year at least until the playoffs.

Don't really like this trade and it will not end well but Westbrook is a better player than Paul right now.

Not really digging on Tillman of this is true.

Did someone die, did the Rockets somehow leave Houston, was CP turning 4 or 5 years younger, what other deals were there to improve the roster given the situation we are in, would you want to waste Harden's prime with CP as his running mate, was their a better star player to pair with Harden, etc. I can go on and on with questions.

The fact that some of you posters are in mourning is kind of hilarious. The Rockets KEPT THE SAME ROSTER AS LAST AND ADDED RUSSELL WESTBROOK. PLEASE COMPUTE THAT. THEY GOT RID OF CP'S CONTRACT WHILE AT IT! HOW IS THIS NOT A WIN?

Who were we going to draft with these future picks (please tell me Morey's track record in draft's)? Would Harden even be here?
