Not public knowledge CF. Just thought I would share. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Probably makes me a hypocrite, since I totally love snooping on contract/trade talks that you're privy to, but I think sharing personal medical info like this is kinda... not cool. If they haven't made it public, it's probably because they don't want to. JMHO. Regardless, hope Milo is fine/recovering.

Delete if you want to - I wanted everyone to pray for him and keep him in their thoughts. Clutch, please delete.

I agree. If the family doesn't want the news out about this iconic gentleman, who gave us so much for so many years calling the Rockets' games, then you aren't doing them any favors. This is one scoop you should have kept to yourself, cyberx, in my humble opinion.

Just saw your second post. Hopefully, Clutch will see it and delete the thread.

Yes, appreciate your intention but the thread should probably be removed.

Because a sick 90 year old is a secret? (87)

I would certainly wish for him that he was healthy enough to go to Cooperstown on July 26th.

I will like RL cry when he dies. The memories of listening to him on the radio when I was going to bed as a kid are still excellent. One of Houston's finest citizens ever.

Regardless of his age, or prior known health issues, it's a personal matter. If and when they want to share this, it should be by him/his family.

I actually heard he took a tumble a few weeks ago and wasn't doing so well from a friend of his. Now that I think of it, yeah, I've been hearing his health has been deteriorating more so for awhile now.

i miss him. i miss all of our older announcers. they just had a voice that can't be duplicated no matter how catchy their younger replacements try to be. even when hamilton took like 9 innings to update the score, I always felt i was in a time warp listening to a broadcast. radio was better than tv during the hamilton and gene eras of astros and rockets.

Doesn't need to be deleted. His leukemia issues are well known and discussed around the Astros and other people with some connection to the Astros.

They already did way before. I think this is just an update. I would agree with you if it weren't public already and it is.

The fact that *some* people know doesn't mean *everyone* should.

Respect for privacy is the default setting here, not the other way around.

He may mean public knowledge about how well he's doing. People are very aware he's been sick and is old. I don't see the big deal.
