Just curious...Garnett was in the league and had a 24.2 and 13.9 in the year BEFORE McHale became head coach. He never saw those numbers again...
So how is it that he got the best out of Garnett?

Those are some phenomenal numbers that are hard to repeat.

Keep in mind once bev is healthy our 3 guard rotation will back in effect with lin & bev will be playing in the backcourt when harden rest sometimes even brooks and lin together I would assume. I would like Dunleavy to backup parsons if Garcia does not improve. A stretch four that can set screens & has a pick and pop jumper is still a big concern going forward.

My point is that Garnett was already a stud before McHale...how did he teach him anything.
BTW - in case you can't tell, I don't think much of McHale as a coach.

You realize that is is possible for McHale to have worked with Garnett while he was GM and before he became the coach right?

Guys flourish under McHale = nothing to do with him.
Guys falter under McHale = 100% on McHale.

Your point is valid that Beverly returning will allow Lin to slide over to the SG spot when Harden is not on the floor. However, it seems that seldom do we see Lin AND Beverly play well in the same game. Further, it would be nice in certain match ups to go with Lin and Dunleavy in the back court hitting 3's off of Harden drives.

Dunleavy would certainly take the minutes from Garcia and may even steal a few minutes at the 4 spot or force Parsons over to the 4 spot.

I am not saying Dunleavy is a great player, but he is a quality rotation player with skills (shooting, passing, size) that we need off our bench.

Dunleavy has played 4 spots on the floor at different times for the Bulls this year, you add that to the Rockets and the line up possibilities grow greatly.

How would you like to be able to go: Lin/Harden/Dunleavy/Parsons/Jones when shooting is needed?

This type of phylosophy is just laughable. Every player that ever developed under McHale developed dispite McHale. Every player that failed under McHale failed because of McHale.

Every game the Rockets have won under McHale was dispite McHale but every game lost was obviously Kevin McHales fault.

Don't know why you're such an apologist for the guy.

I do admit he started to make in-game adjustments. The season was already about 15 games old when he started, but progress is progress.

There are examples out there of ex-McHale players saying the dude just doesn't really have a game plan. McHale himself has kinda alluded to it. And it's visible.

Hell, even Terrence Jones' coming-out party would've never happened if Asik hadn't come down with a case of "Me not want to play anymore".

    McHale. Can't. Coach.

It's the new Clutchfans way. JVG would have been roasted worse than McHale after his second loss to Utah in the Playoffs if it were in 2013.

And I could have worked with him too. Are you going to just make stuff up or do you have an evidence of this?

The only thing solid I can find is that McHale drafted him and any mention of "Mentor" does not ever elaborate on that relationship.

Nice try....never said that. I'm just looking for ANY evidence that McHale is somehow a better teacher than other NBA coaches.

I found something to substantiate the McHale/Garnett relationship...don't know if it'll show correctly, kind of a weird link.
But it does mention that he was instrumental in bringing Garnett along.

    http://books.google.com/books?id=-0...epage&q=Mchale helped develop garnett&f=false

If any of you all have seen him play..Dunleavy is very similar to chandler parsons to a certain extent.

Having him off the bench would be GREAT...he can shoot and drive, and makes great decisions.

    perfect glue guy.

Dunleavy has played PF in short doses for the Bulls this season. No more posting about things you don't know about.
