    The NBA should have someone like John Campbell available for questions like Beal's. He wasn't being unreasonable. FWIW I'm kind of surprised they don't have a doctor on duty that can go over the data based on his situation.

    The media does a huge disservice in amplifying the voices of the vaccine hesitant/antivax morons over the vast majority of people who vaccinated. The NBA's 90% number is high vis-a-vis the US and insanely high for a group of mostly non-college graduates in their 20's and 30's But instead the voices we hear are dumbasses like Flat Earth Kyrie and Galaxy Brain Johnathan Issac and Peter Pan Dwight.

    Vaccines = medicine (science)
    Mandates, passports, lockdowns = policy (politics)

    I still remember the days that we didn't want to make science political.

    Good on these NBA players for standing up to stupid, destined-to-predictably-fail policy.

    Kyrie stands to lose almost 19 mil this season if he doesn’t get vaccinated

    Response should be:
    "I would like an explanation to you know, basketball players who play defense, why are they still getting getting scored on? ...

    Like, it's funny that, 'oh, it reduces your chances of losing the game.' It doesn't eliminate anybody from getting scored on, right?

    Oh, sorry I forget. You play on the Wizards. You are anti-defense."

    Historically the media has a philosophy to let all opinions get air time or what not. That definitely makes sense in philosophical or social discussions.

    But when it comes to scientific discussions with prior research, give the same amount of air time to anti-vaccine person and a physician or climate change skeptic and researcher mis-represents the state of the discussion.

    It is true that doctors and scientists can get things wrong. It happens all the time, but it should be based on the data and the testing. Not based on untested hypotheses.

    Damn someone should've just straight up shouted that from the audience. It's so perfect. Also, if you find yourself intellectual bracket as Kyle Kuzma, you should probably reevaluate your life choices.

    I guess we will see what's more important, your uneducated, non-researched, smart ass beliefs or your money.

    This confirms rich people and people who lack common sense are not mutually exclusive.

    What's get's me is when players talk about doing their own research and then they ask questions like this. It's been communicated from Day 1 that vaccines do not confer 100% immunity.

    Requirements that hospitals don't deny medical care based on race = policy (politics)

    Is that politicizing science/medicine too?
