Don't forget all the wonder personnel decisions he made in Minnesota after complaining that he didn't have more control.

Or rooting for it just so they can get what they want like a spoiled child who will ruin a family vacation in the Bahamas because they want McDonalds back in Texas.

I actually hope McHale is still the coach of the Rockets next October because that means the team kicked a#$ and went deep again.

Yes, McHale is a bottom 10 NBA coach from an X's and O's standpoint, but the only time you should actively root for your coach to get fired is from May to July. Any other time, you are rooting for the team to suck.

    I agree.

But if we don't make at least the WCF this season, McHale should absolutely be fired.

Can't **** around, Howard's window is pretty much closed already.

Interesting that Tibbs been hangin around practices with Morey and Brooks been at the Rox games sitting next to Morey...I agree with you as well and at the same time luvin the pressure as the writing seems to be on the wall one way or another. Looks like we're gona see what everyone is made of this year that's for sure under pressure

If and when this happens (hopefully soon), I'm doing 2 things.

    1. Going streaking around midtown.
    2. Doing 1) above all the way down to TC to buy season tickets for the next season

    Fire Mc**** NOW!

Les, stop lowering your expectations. Title or bust. Enough is enough. Most talented roster in the league should have no excuses.

    No joke.

A lot of people seem absolutely giddy at the Rockets failing.

Also, other than Thibs all the names being thrown around are down grades.

    Brooks? nope

    JVG? maybe a decade ago

Jackson? the guy that was fired for not working hard?

    Random Spurs assistant

Thibs? Yeah... he and Morey and Alexander would last less than an hour together.

So pray tell who is better than McHale that is available?

I feel like Scott Brooks and Harden would be a hell of a pitch to Durant. Here's to hoping OKC gets eliminated in the first round, and the Rockets in the 2nd!

    Seriously?

You are rooting for the Rockets to get knocked out in the second round?

What the hell is wrong with you.

Why hire Scotty Brooks as a coach, why not just hire him as a ball boy if him being here is going to be part of a pitch to Durant. He's not competent enough to be an NBA head coach, but we can still have him as part of the team right?

    WTF?

Why the **** would you wish for the Rockets to lose in the 2nd round?

    Added to ignore list.

Agreed. The Wizards have gone down this route ages ago by hiring Durant's mentor ex-coach already. If we are banking on some kind of personal relationship between Brooks and Durant to bring him here, which seems pretty far fetched to me as a feasible plan, then at least dont' make him a head coach. We will end up having the worst coach in the league except from Byron Scott. (if he's not fired by then).

As far as the NBA is concerned he is.

He is one of the greatest coaches in the history of European basketball but has no experience as an NBA head coach and hasn't even been a lead assistant.

With a team like the Rockets, trying to win now, you don't hire someone with no NBA head coaching experience.

If this was two years ago? Sure

If the Rockets were rebuilding? Sure

Not with the team trying to win a title right now.... too much uncertainty.

The rockets are not going to go to the WCF this year, I am very positive for my prediction. If MaHale is going to fired, it will almost have nothing to do with the WCF.

Yes look what happened with Steve Kerr. How did the Warriors were so stupid to hire a newbie head coach who wasn't even a lead assistant before when they wanted to contend for a championship?

Besides it's not like sitting next to Pop for years and being trained to be his succesor means anything or that you learn anything. And it's not like they play good basketball in Europe anyway.

I'm just happy that there's finally accountability. From the owner's end.

The theory was that the rockets extended the McHale contract to attract Love, now Love was gone, we can attract Durant by hiring Brooks.
