Salary is nonguaranteed so it's not a shock. I wouldn't conclude that there a trade already lined up. Even if he doesn't get traded he deserves a chance at making the team. Also as Morey alluded to, they want to operate over the cap come July for various reasons. Regardless ... Thanks for the update cyber
Here comes the inevitable Draft day trade ideas thread. I am hoping that whatever happens the Rockets will be a top 2 team in the West when all is said and done this Summer.
Sorry Kostas. I wish you well. <iframe src="https://pbs.twimg.com/tweet_video/CC7V7QWUIAA1Mt3.mp4" &width=560&height=315" frameBorder=0 height="278" width="504"></iframe>
Option had to be picked up by June 30th. It is now a fully Non-Guaranteed contract. A great trade asset if Rockets want to trade him. They can also keep him or cut for salary relief although dropping his salary would not get them under the cap.
I should order a keyboard replacement right now. -- When did his option have to be picked up? Would be interesting if they picked it up early, and are planning a trade shortly.
Wish he didnt get that injury, he really deserved to get at least a full year of playing time.If given good minutes and time to gel with the core for a playoff run I think he would have been useful in certain spurts. Im sure he knew based on his contract his agent let him know he could be traded after a year. Wish him the best if he leaves, if he somehow stays hope he gets better and help win the team some games.
Lawson would be ideal. 27. Making ~$11 million per. Great facilitator, good shooter. Has played over 60 games in each of his seasons. I also like B. Knight if we can't get Lawson, Lowry, or Dragic.
