The deal is not close, only being talked about with ATL wanting Miami to throw in Winslow and Miami unwilling to do so.

So right now, ATL looks like they won't do Horford and Teague for Dwight straight up. And why would they? Horford is an all-star this year, both players are younger than Dwight. Gutting their team for Dwight means back to the olden days of overpaying Joe Johnson for constant 1st round / 2nd round fodder in a weak East except you get to watch Dwight shoot FT's instead Johnson long fadeaway 2s.

If Horford truly is being shopped around, I'd imagine many more NBA teams can come up with better offers than a big man who's constantly injured looking for a payday and a guy who can't catch or shoot FTs.

What i don't understand is, if they want Dwight, why just not work a deal with them with filler around those too guys?

Whiteside with his early bird rights has literally no value.

Dragic is very risky, i would say he may turn out like Turkoglu when he sugned with the Raptors.

Why in the hell we have to help Riley in getting good players + lower his cap = having a better shot at Durant?

To me that doesn't make any sense...

 

Everyone says that but this year we aren't anywhere near contention and we were designed to "win now" so I think Morey does pull the obvious move of trading Howard.
