This is my biggest fear. We are going to lose him and get nothing in return and worst of all is that he will be in Dallas. Dallas's roster is perfect for Dwight and Parsons recruited him last year and we Know DWill is really close with him and Fegan is Cubans boy. I think it's a lock he goes to Dallas unless we by miracle knock off one of the top seeds in the first round.

uhhh...Portland wouldn't do that lol. I'd do that if I was Morey because I don't think a better offer is on the table.

you think so? Crabbe is going to need to get paid, Vonleh has showed nothing in 2 years (ok, almost nothing) and Plumlee is nothing special. I hope they can get smth better

I don't understand, what is Harden supposed to say "Yes I talked to Morey and told him to trade Howard"? Obviously, he has a say in everything that happens with this team...but its bad etiquette to say it out loud...

I'm sure this has been brought up by others somewhere previously in this thread, but Rockets aren't going to get a lot from anyone interested in Howard. First, they know he'll be available this summer. More importantly, though, they also know he wants max money, and he isn't currently worth it. So, how much is someone willing to TRADE to acquire an overpriced asset? Not much. Probably mainly looking to unload some of their problems. So, Houston likely to get back someone else's problem. In which case, why not just let him walk, free and clear? If something does come from this, it will be because of a lot of hard work and good negotiating.

His lie speaks more than words.
I dont feel comfortamble with Harden feeling entitled to have input on the team's roster decisions. He said he is a leader and deserves it. Without even doing that. Leading.

There was talk of this in Dallas a couple weeks ago. Dallas might be one of the leading contenders for Dwight next year, but not likely via trade. Dallas doesn't have much to trade--the pieces they do have they need. I guess maybe Pachulia? Then there is the matter of Dwight's salary. Will Dallas think he's worth it? Will Howard come down in price?

Dallas might be a good place for Howard, though. Carlisle is pretty good at figuring how to use the players he has, and so would put Dwight in a good position to succeed.

Honestly I wouldn't mind either keeping him or trading him as long as we get Thibs or Brooks/Durant and get rid of Brewer I could care less.

Howard trade unlikely; other moves more probable

I look at it a lot different than most of y'all. In the end (Thursday morning or afternoon) I think there will be a decent to good market for Dwight and he indeed will be traded. 0% chance he is back (just my opinion).

Someone is going to go after Golden State. There is a solid chance that Howard is traded and is the best player to actually change teams in the next week. He presents as an interesting weapon to battle Golden State. This team also might be looking at Cleveland and trying to get past them as well.

No one player can save us at this point. Howard could push someone over the top though. Miami as an example. Ultimately, even just getting Justise Winslow would be fine. Winslow+filler is ultimately so much better than losing Howard to FA.

Same thing with Boston. Even just Marcus Smart and Lee would be a tremendous deal for Houston.

I think you can think of a few more examples. My point is that ultimately one of those teams will bite. I would much rather a young player than a pick.

Watching the celebrity game, but our Rox are BUSY. I don't know if it will come to fruition, but the usual suspects are in play.

Even if there is a sentiment of indifference, and the max is the focus, I don't expect the Rockets to move Dwight. I'd be shocked. James' latest comments echo that.

Everyone else, with the exception of James and Josh, are in play.

    Crazy season.

But...we'll still end up as the 6-7th seed. :)
