790 just replayed some McHale interview talking about Dwight, I didn't catch it all but I think he was asked if he thought Dwight would/should be traded

Some notes from his comments...

- Hard time on switching at pick and roll defense
- Dwight can be a piece, but not a building block
- Last year in playoffs, biggest fear was Dwight chasing Draymond to 3 pt line in WCF
- Would have to be a very unique situation for a team to trade for Dwight

Interesting thing is, it would be very easy to add someone else to the Dwight deal because Cleveland has some huge trade exceptions. Matching salaries would not be a problem. I would assume Cleveland would want us to take some salary back is all. Do you trade D12 and Ariza to Cleveland for Love if they make us take on Varejao's salary as well?

The Rockets turned down the Hornets' trade offer for Dwight Howard, who is still the most likely big name on the move Thursday.

Charlotte offered Al Jefferson and Spencer Hawes for the center, league sources told the News' Frank Isola. The Rockets and Howard's agent, Dan Fegan, are working hard to make a trade.

FYI: Al Jefferson (31) is an expiring contract, and Hawes (27) has one more year on his deal at $6.35M + a player option (2017-18) at $6.02M.

I wish nobody would mention Boogie because we all know there is 100% no chance of him coming here.

That's good news for us. Makes Dwight the main deadline attraction.

Sources: Atlanta's expressing its intentions to rivals that Hawks plan to keep team intact at deadline, holding onto Horford and key guards. — ‏@WojVerticalNBA

Teams monitoring Atlanta have started to hear: Jeff Teague is off the table. Hawks never been all in on moving their starting point guard. — Chris Mannix

So we can all move on? After all, you said teams were waiting on Atlanta, Chris.

A Jayhawk......while not technically a real bird.......is a bird for purposes here. That includes McLemore as well as Morris Bros., and TRob.
