Wonder if Codman and Cyberx are quiet in fear that what they're hearing could get on Twitter and potentially kill the deal..

    That's an extraordinarily generous assumption.

If Rockets don't take a step, the proverbial move, then it say's alot about the season and how foolish they front office has become...

Maybe they feel like they can still win it all and that's complete hogwash. Us fans aren't THAT delusional. We aren't even a top 5 team in the West... let alone in the playoffs in either conference.

Let's hope they take a stand.

I for one don't believe Howard stays and if that's the case... find that best deal and get it over with.

What a waste of a season if no move is made to improve.

If the rift between Dwight and Harden is that real, then what incentive does Morey have to split them up? If Dwight leaves and dominates elsewhere, Morey will get roasted. If the Rockets fail with Harden + Howard, then that's on the leaders of the team being petty and not championship material.

And that's the main thing. They are not leaders and both are immature and can't put their differences aside to win a championship.

The incentive is that if there is a rift, truly, then Dwight walks away after this year, for nothing. This, the key here, with Morey, is to get good value for Dwight. Something that will help the te win now, and in the future. Whether the future part be fulfilled by a youngster or by an expiring...

It's a precarious situation, which is why many believe Dwight stays.

We're not getting any assets of worth for Dwight. Let them sleep in the bed they shat in.

Doing so as GM is a good way to be out of a job.

Probably not, but a bad expiring that can contribute, coupled with a young player with upside, or a pick will do just fine!

Yep, no deal is better than a bad one.....but maybe Dwight has an ankle sprain that lasts a bit longer than normal?

Fired for what?? Signing Dwight Howard several years ago and getting several years of good performace out of him, and then when his contract is about to be up, and he's threatening to leave guaging his value in potential trades? I guess I don't follow how THIS is what gets you fired.

Nothing has happened yet dude. Morey is fine until he actually does something fireable.

So what is it???... The teams performance? The same team that went to the WCF. Its his fault he brought the team back together? Oh... wait the coaching.... right... I guess we just keep on going down the same path with the same damn rebuddles and the same false accusations.

Let's just cool it and see what Morey actually does before we call for his head. Maybe he will deserve to get fired after its all said and done, but we gotta see what he does first.

This is the most idiotic shortsighted AND complex trade I have ever heard of. They are trying to pay Philly to lower the pick swap options for a 2 month rental of Gasol who is going to be pissed of about being traded.

That Landry salary dump is the gift that keeps on giving.

And if Pau on his last legs can get such a good haul Morrey better bring smth good back.

I hope that trade doesn't happen and someone intervenes. I am sad for Sac fans.

David Aldridge just came on tv and said the Rockets are asking for multiple first round picks as well as a young stud for Howard. No wonder why no deal is done. Don't see how just that would even come close to matching up salary else. Take that for what it's worth
