If we have Love's contract on the books we still have $$$ to sign Kevin Durant?

I honestly don't even know if I want Love. All I know is Cle can use Howard and Ariza a HELL of a lot more than Love and Mosgov. Ariza guarded Green really well last game. And Howard plays pretty well against them also. They should be giving us a call, not the other way around.

Cavs really don't have much to trade for Anderson is the problem.

So far this year / deadline I have read:
    -Cavs like Anderson
    -Cavs like Ariza
-Love is not all that great in Cleveland
-Cleveland is apprehensive about the tax bill they are gonna have.

If I am Morey, I am looking for a way to sell Cleveland on fixing all those issues in one big trade, which BTW, makes them better for this year. Yes there is risk Anderson / Howard leave, but I think you could sell a trade like this with a straight face. Oh and BTW it would be awesome for Houston. Swapping Howard for Love and clearing up cap space, extends your current window 3-4 years.

While I am positive that Morey will try to pursue Durant this summer, I would think the chances of him coming here would be pretty slim.

Even if we were able to somehow pull off adding Love, would that really be a good idea? Sure, we would have two superstars in the mid 20's, which sounds like it is always a great idea. But if you look at all of the "superstars" in today's NBA, are there any 2 that are worse defenders than Harden and Love? Would that be the foundation that we want to build on?

    Just something to think about.

You can't be selective with stars. You can trade Love or Harden later.

One thing that makes Cleveland unique -- I really don't think they fear "rentals" the way most teams do. When's the last time anyone told LeBron no? Hell, we heard reports all of last year about how Love didn't like his role... yet all it took was one poolside meeting with LeBron, and he re-signed to a 5-year deal on the first day of free agency. LeBron basically rules the league, FAs often take severe discounts to play with him, and his owner is apparently willing to pay the tax.

Of course, it all depends on whether Cleveland sees guys like Anderson and especially Dwight as fits. But if they do, I think they'd take a gamble on a "pending FA" that most teams would not. Just as they did with Love a year-and-a-half ago.

Pretty crazy. Like nothing has really happened lol. There has to be a trade made soon to create this domino effect... Right?

Trey Burke might be on the move; not available for media at Jazz practice. Last guy not available for that on the Jazz? Enes Kanter. Exactly one year ago today

Will its not so much the rental part, as much as, oh btw Dwight, Anderson, Ariza cost an additional 60 million dollars next year.

Yeah, this has been rumored for a while now.

I could see him going to NY or something.

Instead of Ariza we should be thinking Bev. That way they would have Bev and delladova two constant pests olguarding curry.

    Dwight/anderson/beverley to cleveland

    Love/mosgov to houston

    Tj/shump/hou2nd to NO

Clutch should put a running hours time count down on the main page for the trading deadline.

I'm gonna get super nervous if something doesn't happen in the next 8 hours or so.

I have faith in Morey. If something can get done, he can get it done.

If not, then it probably couldn't have happened.

Anderson and Dwight would cost the Cavs at least 50 millions to resign. That's a no no for a repeat tax team. Meanwhile Love is at a great contract.
