I can't see us keeping Dwight

I mean there is so much out there, it would be weird to have him back knowing he was in trade talks for the last three days

I thought the same. He claimed it was a proposed sign and trade. But with Fegan repping both guys and him wanting to get DJ to Fallas, I doubt it was ever even close to happening.

Nick Wright probably read some fan post suggesting it and ran with that.

I'd trade Howard for DeAndre Jordan and Jamal Crawford or JJ Redick.

You should check out Steph Curry's contract. Best value in the league by far.

Any team that takes Bargnani on, even for nothing, will not be happy.

Dwight's not worth much due to his salary demands, injury history, and rental status. No one will sanely commit to re-signing him for crazy max money, so he'll just walk in 30 games or less. 30 games is worth very little to any team.

No one will pay a really good player OR a really decent pick for Dwight, regardless of his resume.

Joe Johnson is the 2nd highest paid player in the entire league. That should tell you a lot about contracts in the NBA

    Fran is spot on!

Harden and Howard want to be treated like number one options but neither want to put in the work of a number one option.

Fran also said that after the Portland playoff loss Harden and Howard both got on their phones and tried to get the other traded!

hm so you dismiss the Jazz and the Pistons who they starting five are all age 25 and lower and you put as an example Cousins who in all his years has never made the playoffs? Ever?

Just because Dwight had the ego to ask for post touches doesn't make him a post scorer as C. That's not how he got his points, that's not his characteristic as an NBA C.

A dominant C post scorer who is ALSO great defensively in position defence and in rim protection would be dominant in the modern NBA. But he doesn't exist.
I guess the closer is M.Gasol? But he isn't an amazing rim protector..he's only good in position defence and he's not so dominant post scorer.
The post scorer of right now are all bad rim protectors. Vucevic, Monroe, Al Jefferson, Okafor, ...Kanter(he also can shoot).

Cousins on the other hand has other characteristics that are overlooked. His extemely high usage and turnovers. His insistence to shoot 3s (even on the break) that is completely idiotic. His lack of effort in defence and rim protection.

So no, I can't point you at anyone who is a dominant post scorer with great rim protection and positiona defence right now. If a player like that comes, he will be a superstar. He will also obliterate Draymond Green if he tries to defend him.

And because such players don't exist, Centers like Dwight who are elite defenders with no post skills and who are good rebounders are still in high demand and the game hasn't passed them by.

Fran Blineburry? F*** that dude, he doesn't know ****. That doesn't even sound remotely truthful. Fran is a notorious pot stirrer, I don't doubt this was said just for attention

But Dwight is no longer an elite defender. I hate to say it, but it's true.

Morey already messed up not trading Howard for T. Harris when it was on the table. That was a solid young PF that's better than Dmo on a $16mill contract. He basically a P.Patt but better rebounder and more athletic with more upside

He could've still made room later for a star if one really wanted to come, rockets and their star chasing SMFH

What PF better than t.harros with upside we can bet for $16mill locked up for 4 1/2 more years ??
