The segment of this board valuing Tobias Harris or Herro over Simmons must think 6'10" 24 yo point guards with career stat lines of 16/8/8 grow on trees. Simmons is the absolute best centerpiece we can get by moving Harden to a contender in the east.
It's hilarious I can watch this Philly game for 4 mins and tell how much better Harden would make them if swapped out for Simmons.

Smoke & mirrors. Morey would LOVE to trade Simmons for Harden, because the Rockets would be getting robbed. Simmons value will depreciate and eventually be untradeable. Nobody's going to want a guy afraid to take a jumpshot

Exactly. The league just wants Harden out of Houston and in another market. They keep blatantly saying no championship will be won in Houston like Harden can easily win somewhere else... just straight up BS.
Most of their points are coming off steals on defense and fast break points. Their half court sets on offense are not great. They just don’t have a playmaker. They are a very good defensive team
Harden would make this team immediate favorites in the East, honestly. Ben is really a detriment to them in the half-court.

Correct. The same outlets claiming Simmons is a cornerstone player, will be questioning how Stone allowed Morey to ROB us of Harden once Simmons falls short here. Its a trap. Philly can't be the best trade option
