GTFO if all you want to do is turn this into a LOH thread... There are plenty of other threads you can talk about that in. Back on topic - cp3 was never a real possibility. I still believe very strongly that Dwight is houston bound.
LMAO.... What Asik does is worth WAY MORE than what Miller does. Miller can still play, but he's old and Asik is a bargain for what he does. Would rather keep Asik and just play Lin & Bev. Packaging/Trading Asik for anything less than a All-Star player would not be a wise move. Trading him for Miller would be downright stupid.
But Jeremy Lin can't even play productive in first round playoff pressure Chalmers can at least do that. Lin still has a lot to prove.
This coming from Sam Amick. "League executives are beginning to strongly believe center Dwight Howard will sign with the Houston Rockets in free agency."
Yeah who cares if that slacker hurt his shoulder, was facing one of the best most aggressive players in the league or was in his first playoff series, he still should of diliverd!!
This. Andre Miller has proven he is a good player in this league, but you don't trade away a guy who in his prime could average 15-12 easily if he could develop some post moves. If Dwight comes a knocking, it'll be interesting to see if we start both on the floor at the same time, or have Asik back in his Chicago role with a large addition of minutes. I'd love to see Asik get 30 mpg even if it is on the bench. Hell, maybe he'll even flourish playing against 2nd unit bigs now.
Oh sorry, I didn't see it coming. I guess it's not true that league executives are starting to believe Howard will sign with Houston?
Hey if he's as great as yall make him out to be he would still be able to somehow get the job done like other hurt stars and role players have done in the playoffs. We need to get out of excuse mode with our athletes in Houston and expect the job that's being done equals up to the money that's being paid to that athlete. Well... with Lin he's bringing certain fans to toyota center so maybe that's his job.
Might be true, might be false. Amico just makes things up, but it doesn't mean incidentally there aren't executives that think Dwight is heading to Houston.
When did I call him great and who is y'all? And dude a hurt shoulder isn't something to play, yet Lin still played a couple a games with, and of course he did bad. If you call a player being injured a excuse that's r****ded, and of course you bring up his contract and try to use that as your argument when we are talking about his play in the playoffs. I think Lin's play is worth his contract, my opinion. You don't that's you.
At the end of Lin's career I hope we can revisit this and I can be wrong. I am on record saying us houston fans need to leave the era of hope and enter the era of reality. Then we can add to 94 and 95.
Everyone played like garbage in Game 1. Lin was playing fine in Game 2 until he got injured. I cannot understand why people carve their own narratives into these things. It's so frustrating.
By this logic, we'd ignore the regular season of any player, and apparently any injuries they had. Yeah, I agree, Westbrook does suck and should be waived by OKC.
You strike me as a person who never looks at stats outside of a box score here and there, and probably catch maybe at most a game every 2 weeks. You're like arguing w/ ghosts here. Most of the LOFs aren't even that active these days. Now it is just posters like you who over-react every time someone is not fully criticizing Lin. Example: saying Lin is not the biggest need to be upgraded over or he had a poor playoff showing but that it obviously wasn't that indicative of his skills (given the circumstances) or that he actually was 15-6 in the last 3 months of the season w/ 44% FG and 37-38% 3 pt shooting does not mean that person loves Lin unconditionally. It does not suddenly mean we would cry if Lin got moved for CP3. A bit tired of seeing those sorts of responses.
That's a bit arbitrary. I think he'd average 38. Or 10. Hard to say since I'm pulling stuff out of my ass
