I am jealous of OKC's success and the success that Cleveland will soon have getting to rebuild from scratch.

    This.

Raptors with DeRozan, a new PG, Valenciunas, and lottery picks this year and next could develop into quite a team.

Totally agreed. Jonas was the pick they should of picked. He's going to be a stud in this league.

That's a lot of incoming unknowns coming in lol. Don't they say this about the Raptors every year?

Cavs is a good team for Barnes to play for since many scouts say that Barnes sucks at creating his own shot off the dribble. Irving can help him get easier touches.

It all comes down to who the better combo is, Irving/Beal? Or Irving/Barnes?

I like both players a lot, it's a toss up to me...

I would go with Beal because I think he has a better chance at being an impact player at the NBA level than Harrison Barnes.

But Beal won't be available at #4 so it's a moot point.

Every year since they drafted Vince Carter. Unless the Raptors get another solid international guy or Valanciuas is a top player, they will lose most of their key players after their rookie contracts.

lol, people are talking like Tristan Thompson is a scrub. How did the cavs screw up their draft pick? We don't know what Jonas will do at the nba levell yet. Even if he is a good nba player, Thompson still has a chance to be just as good. He's just coming off of his rookie season playing back up to Jamison. Now that Jamison is most likely gone, we can see what he really has.

Cavs should trade up to the Bobcats pick and grab MKG or back the #6 pick where they still can potentially still grab Barnes.

Bobcats needs more scorers to match OKC, Miami or it will end up like Philly, Indiana - struggling to score. I think Barnes' floor is Rudy Gay and his ceiling is Paul Pierce, less O, more D.

It would be just like the Bobcats to take Robinson at #2 after they drafted Biyombo last year.

    Lol, yup.

I'll laugh quite heartily if the Cats don't take MKG.

The Bobcats need seriously consider trading down for more players and picks. This is one reason I don't think tanking is effective for some teams, because regardless of how many bad season a team has over a time period. They still have tendency to not get much better. There's no culture or expectation of winning, while your chances of landing a superstar are still not as great as landing a bust.

The Bobcats need to fix their entire roster to get more competitive. IF they trade down, somehow they might could net two players and maybe two draft picks from multiple deals. 4 possible starters from draft picks and draft night trades.

Now throw in free agency. If they really tried, I believe they could build a team that could be 5th to 8th seed in the East. I'll use Houston as an example ... Let's from draft night they end up Kevin Martin, Kyle Lowry, Tyler Zeller (or John Henson), or Terrence Ross (or Jones).

Look at a Portland deal ... Wesley Matthews (and/or Nicolas Batum), Andre Drummond or Barnes (#6), and late picks.

Look at a Toronto deal ... DeMar Derozan, Jose Calderon, and #8 pick.

    Why?

MKG doesn't do the Bobcats anything this year or next. He's not going to be that type of player.

The Bobcats need to trade that pick back and package it with Tyrus Thomas' awful contract. If the Cavs, Kings, or Blazers bite they can still get an Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes, or thomas Robinson caliber player.

That is an equal building block to the Bobcats as MKG at this point in their team, while making a smart money move.

This makes since if Robinson is not on the board. I can't see anything that would make me favor Beal or MKG over Barnes. Barnes is a very good outside shooting slasher at SF (and probably the best). However, even with Thompson I can't see how you could pass up Robinson's potential which is much greater than Thompson's and greater than Barnes'.

Barnes should go in the top 5 for sure. Honestly, not taking 'needs' into account, but I'd take him after Davis at #2. He has potential like crazy, where as someone like Robinson, I think you know what you're going to get. He'd be a gamble at #2 no doubt, but I love his potential and could be a teams star... all depends how badly he wants it.
