Billups is a shoot first PG that seems to know how to pass, unlike Brooks. He also seems to be able to have a bigger impact late in games and play defense. I doubt 1/3 of post-game threads from the Nuggets board last yr revolved around the dumb stuff their "PG" was doing.

 

Yeah, well talk to me after Aaron Brooks has been in the league for 13 years, he will probably be a good passer then too.

You do know that Chauncey got flamed by some fans of his original teams just like you guys are doing to Brooks.

What happened is he finally got to a coach that trusted him and he blew up...I am glad that Rick Adelman trust AB, and you guys are not his coach.

It doesn't matter what Melo and the Nuggets do, I am ready to rumble with these Rockets. My fingers are crossed though that DM would find an upgrade in the starting PG position. If not, Lowry needs to start and Brooks could come off the bench ala the Microwave.

Melo is irrelevant to the Rockets at this point since the Nuggets do not even have a GM.

Something I forgot to add, young Billups seemed pretty intelligent (unlike Brooks), his lack of assists seemed more a lack of attitude than a severe lack of inherent skill...as stated before, the potential to have court vision is showed enen in kids....

it's not being young selfish kid, being a ballhog because he only thinks in scoring...than having the lack of court vision built-in.....Kobe for instance, can be a ballhog most of the times, but when he wants (not that often, he has pretty good court vision too....

The best Manu Ginobili, another example...has pretty good court vision, but also the attitude of passing first....

So attitude and skills have to be evaluated....
