The more I read up on this, the more I realize this is NOT just a rumer!!
Try to wrap ur mind around this, we have a legit shot at getting a top 5 player and top 3 scorer in the NBA!

This is not just abunch of clutch fans dreaming and hoping we can finally catch a break!! There tons of articles floating around the web saying we have the best asstets to trade and that we are the best fit for melo!

Worst case cenario we have to give up Brooks, look at our starting lineup:

    Yao
    Scola
    Melo
    Kmart
    Lowery

    that's a championship contending starting 5

if we luck out and get to keep Brooks! Here is our full lineup, probably:

    Yao/Miller
    Scola/Hayes/Pat
    Melo/budinger or battier (hopefully battier)
    kmart/lee
    Brooks/lowery

that's the BEST lineup in the NBA!! Better than Miami, LA, Boston, and Orlando easily!!

Get ready clutchfans, we have a bright future ahead of us!!

    GO ROCKETS

In my opinion Brooks is the minimum price of such a Melo trade.

I'd much rather trade Brooks than Martin in any case anyways.

And also, dare I say it, Martin may have to be included WITH Brooks to pull off a Melo trade.

I don't think so because they already have 2 pg's worthy of staring so they don't need Brooks, and they're gonna be rebuilding so they won't want martins contract!

what makes you think they are gonna start rebuilding?

they still have chauncey billups, kenyon martin, and nene who are veterans who will ensure they get to the playoffs even if they want to rebuild. I doubt Denver will blow up the whole team just because Carmelo Anthony left.

This is how it felt when we tried to sign Chris Bosh! That's over! We will sign Melo I can feel it!

They don't want or need either of those players. And I would not give up even one of them for Melo, let alone both.

They need Martin in the worst possible way. Who do they have on their roster thats a reliable SG. JR smith? chances are hes no more than jason kapono.

Sure, I'd love to for this deal to go down:

    Battier
    Budinger
    Hill
    Taylor
    New York pick swap 2011

But if New Jersey offers Devin Harris this will be hard to overcome that,

I really doubt they're a playoff team without melo!
Every other team in the west is getting better and losing melo would no doubt make them worse!!

Can someone tell me what's so valuable about the 27-year-old starting PG on a 12-win team?

for the same reason they DONT need Brooks, they DONT need Harris!
They have billups and Lawson and at shooting guard they have JR, aflallo, and Anthony carter!

And we wouldn't give up bud and battier! We gotta have a backup SF

They have no use for a guy with Martin's contract and player profile on their current team. Getting rid of Melo would signal the beginning of a rebuilding phase. Even if they made the playoffs, they wouldn't be contenders, with or without Martin. And I doubt they would make the playoffs even with him.

hell yes a brooks/martin/anthony/scola/yao lineup would be scary.

and only parting with jeffries, battier, and hill? where do i sign up?

    our bench can still be

    lowry, lee, budinger, hayes, miller.
omg. i am seriously, just gonna cry of happiness if that happens.
