Time to start eyeing Rudy Gay. I don't think the Carmelo situation is going anywhere and neiter is Danny Granger.

That means they knew about Carmelo when they made the Courtney Lee for Ariza swap. Maybe they knew they would need the cap room, or trade exception to make the deal work. Very interesting.

If we have a 30 percent of getting Melo, then we have a 5% percent change of getting Rudy Gay.

If I were Morey, its Melo-or-bust

True, that is an interesting theory.

However, Denver has no front office, so no one to really negotiate with at this point, to decide what they need or don't need.

Has anybody else's work week just come to a grinding halt since the Carmelo and Rockets story broke?

Bearup was/is the main decision maker in the Nuggets FO. GM is just a title. Bird, Walsh, and Kahn make the moves for their respective teams, none are GMs.

For the Record, I do not want Melo.

However, if the Rox get him, I will cheer him on as long as he is wearing the colors.

But, I believe they will not win anymore with him than they would without him, and standing as is.....

Name me a team without a superstar that won the title other than the Detroit Pistons.

You don't think Melo is EXTREMELY NECESSARY to the success of the Rockets?

Even if we somehow manage to keep Brooks and Martin?

Why exclude the Detroit Pistons, and I don't believe Melo is a Superstar, he is a STAR, but not a superstar.

You get nearly the same production out of Kevin Martin as you do from Melo, is he a Superstar?

We need someone who can create their own shot.

Melo can be the answer. I know his D is lacking but he more than cover for it w/ his offense.

Pretty sure he was talking about the Rockets FO, not Denver.

Personally DD, Im on the fence and kinda leaning towards passing on Melo. Yes he's a true super star, but Im not a big fan of his.

Same way I feel, I don't think he is a SuperStar either, but a star player...

We have guys that get nearly the same production numbers as he does in Kevin Martin, Brooks and Yao, and play the team game.

I honestly think Melo is short for Melodrama.......

Either way, whatever Morey and Les decide, but I would hold out for CP3, or someone that I think can really make a difference.

Kobe, LeBron and Wade are the best players. In my opinion Melo comes next. This place is really underrating how good Melo really is. I remember he had that 33 point burst in the 3rd quarter alone. He's hit many game winners proving he can handle the pressure down in the 4th quarter. I don't know any other player in the league that is better for us except for LeBron, Kobe, Wade, and Durant. And it's impossible to get any of those guys..

Scoring production? Maybe. Even in that case Melo was 3rd in the league in scoring on a pretty damn stacked team. Apart from Arron Afflalo I don't think anyone on that team wasn't trigger-happy.

Melo's defense, durability, rebounding, star-power, and clutch factor would surely make him a few levels above KMart.

I love KMart, and would trade almost anyone apart from Yao and KMart to get Melo, but Melo can take this team to another level.

Your joking? Melo is WAYYY BETTER in every aspect of the game. Plus he can play legit defense. And he's not toothpick either...

BUT, what would you have to give up to get him?
