Take it for what it's worth but one poster on the Nuggets Realgm board heard on ESPN radio 1070.

4 way deal between Indy, Houston, Denver and Sacramento

Houston gets Carmelo, TJ Ford and 2nd round pick

Denver gets Brooks, Budinger, Martin, and Foster

    Indy gets Thompson and Battier

    Sacramento gets Patterson and Dunleavy

I would do this deal IF Anthony agrees to an extension with the Rockets.

    Potential lineup:
    Brooks/ Lowry
    Lee/ Budinger/ Taylor
    Anthony/ Battier
    Scola/ Patterson/ Hayes
    Yao/ Miller

Don't take any trade proposals on realgm boards seriously. Most of the members on there make up these things.

This could take a while. It would so great if we could pull this off before the season begins.

guys get realistic here..we are trading for a superstar...not some potential star but a superstar!

If I'm Denver, I'd want Brooks, Budinger, Hill, Martin + Jeffries Contract + NY first rounder, plus trading their garbage contract for the 6M trade exception.

Morey might counter with Brooks, Martin, Hill, both NY Picks+ Jeffries's contract and 6M trade exception + 2nd rounder for their backup PG.

Denver gets MIP + Top 10 SG in Brooks n Martin, NY picks, Prospect in Hill, get rid of their bad contract for the 6M exception, and Jeffries expiring deal. It's not like they are on a fire sale and would get rid of melo for cheap

Subtracting 2 all stars to add a superstar makes this team worse. If it takes both Brooks and Martin, this deal is not worth doing. I would not give up both of them unless it was for Lebron.

If the Rockets trade Brooks, they'd better be getting Ty Lawson in return. Lawson has good potential and played well in Billups' absence and could push Lowry for starter's minutes.

via Realgm via something someone heard on the radio... Not a good start.

Anyway if the Rockets trade away that much depth in Brooks, Budinger, Martin, and Battier. I doubt they'd want TJ Ford's corpse. The Pacers have tried to deal him away for 2 years without any takers. At this stage of his career he's Aaron Brooks without the 3pt shot and without the playmaking.

I don't want to start a new thread on this, but can you guys please give me your take on why Melo would be a good fit with this team.

Brooks AND Martin. Thats a tad high in my estimation. gotta be an either or. But depending on what else was lined up, Morey might consider a deal with both players involved.

    Carmelo Anthony
    Luis Scola
    Yao Ming

    What do you think huh???

Aaron Brooks + Jared Jefferies + Shane Battier + NY 2012 Pick + Chase Budinger + Jordan Hill for

    Carmelo Anthony

    Deal.

Houston gets Carmelo, TJ Ford and 2nd round pick

Denver gets Brooks, Budinger, Martin, and Foster

    Indy gets Thompson and Battier

    Sacramento gets Patterson and Dunleavy

    Houston gives up:
    Brooks, Martin, Budinger, Battier, Patterson

    Denver gives up:
    Carmelo

    Indy gives up:
    Foster, TJ Ford, Dunleavy

    Scramento gives up:
    Thompson

Yikes, I really don't like that for the Rockets. Sure we get Carmelo, but we gut the whole bench in the process.

    Ford
    Lee
    Anthony
    Scola
    Yao

    Bench:
Lowry, Hayes, Hill, Taylor, Jefferies, Miller. To me, that's no bench at all.
