I'm VERY high on Carmelo. Much higher than I was on Bosh coming to Houston. Melo a better scorer and pretty much better at everything. He's a proven winner at every level and with him Houston is the monster out West. Just dont get too excited about something that might not happen. Morey has an opening now but it's a long road.

this actually made me lol. that ****er Bosh probably uses the ipad to look at pictures and video of himself all day.

 

Why so high on Favors? Has he proved anything yet? Plus don't they already have enough big men?

 

I've read on here that Morey said Melo was overrated. Anyone have a link or remember if he's said this?

Admittedly I don't know that much about his game but he always seems a bit like a ball hog to me. And so I am curious to know what you guys think. Would Melo be a good fit alongside Yao, Martin, Lowry, and Scola? I am skeptical to say the least.

 

IMHO it should just be slightly better than whatever package NJ throws out. Due to the free agent summer everyone's become capped out or stripped of assets. NY's got nothing of value left.

Well if we get Melo I think we should give Kevin Martin up as part of the package. Melo and Martin wouldn't work simply because the opponent will score 140 on us each game. However if we do get Melo and offer the whole house for him color me surprised. His performance has nowhere been near LBJ/Kobe/Wade, and unlike Bosh he has a thug reputation...even appearing in that don't snitch video.

 

I see it the other way around. What do the other teams have to offer that the Rockets can't top?

 

The point is it may be BS that he would resign. Sure Houston could come up with a better offer but if he won't resign before being traded to Houston, we won't give up much if anything.

NY may be only offering Curry + Chandler + Walker + 2nd round. Not real tempting for the Nuggets. NY could say take it or leave it - enjoy your last year with Carmelo. But if there was a rumor that he'd actually sign an extention with a team that has more valuable trading pieces, NY might up the ante - say Curry + Gallinar + Azubuike + Randolph - to get into an imaginary bidding war when they are only bidding against themselves. Kind of like Morey did to them using Chicago.

If you only have 1 dance partner, that partner can choose what song to get out of their seat for.

Why would Carmelo want to help Denver out if he wanted to just go to NY? Would he not want a lot of talent left in NY so they could win? Carmelo could say he's going to NY at the end of the season so you better get what you can get from them now. Why would he want Denver to have any leverage?
