The rude awakening is there is no loyalty. We're all expendable at some point.

I've enjoyed Bill over the years. I hope he doesn't get down and fall off the wagon over this.

I'm not surprised especially how Les treated Calvin after Calvin was proven innocent.

That's pretty much what the Astros did with Milo Hamilton. It was not a good thing.

I noticed Worrell getting players' names wrong much more often than he used to least year. Maybe it's time. A slow, phased exit seems fair and reasonable.

The Knicks had a sideline announcer named Tina Cervasio who Knicks fans loved but MSG decided to let her go after her contract expired. I thought they made a mistake when they brought in her replacement Rebecca Harlowe, after all how much better could the Knicks broadcast be with a new sideline reporter. I completely changed my mind watching Harlowe, she turned out to be a terrific sideline reporter and MSG is better for having her.

Bill is going to be missed and we should all thank him for all the years of service broadcasting the games but does anyone think that Les can't bring in someone to take his place that can do a better job than Bill did.

So they want to replace a legend who is still capable of doing his job and keep arguably the worst commentator in the history of sport in Clyde Drexler? I know we find Clyde unintentionally comedic but he's an embarrassment. If we're in the habit of chucking loyalty overboard, might as well clean ship with him as well. Just like killing baby seals.

what do you mean? bill is past his best years, the broadcast part is suffering and les is handling the move more as a transition vs straight up firing. im sure bill is getting a nice package as a result

if he was just cutting the dude i understand saying no loyalty but thats not the case

Pretty much the same thing happened to Clutch. It just seems like Les truly is going for a fresh overhaul of the brand, except of course the jersey

And of course when the jersey finally does change, it'll be blue and pin-striped.

We have glaring holes all over our roster and this is his main concern? Bill deserves better than to be pushed out of his seat. He at least deserves some sort of job with the organization.
