either he takes a salary that is equivalent to his current talent or he needs to take a hike

I'll take a higher chance to win over loyalty any day of the week

If it did affect him, the holdout was his fault, nobody elses.

And nobody is priceless in football. Not Joe Montana, not Peyton Manning, not Jerry Rice, nobody.

If he starts to play poorly relative to his contract, he would have to go too.

Texans really screwed up not drafting a WR this year, with that class it was almost impossible to miss.

Pretty obvious that Fitz was holding back Dre.

Perhaps, but fortunately we didn't draft a QB early that would have held him back even more.

He goes, and WR becomes a huge issue.

I think WR gets drafted numero uno for us.

QB isn't needed. Mallet needs a shot. Grab the best available ILB or FS at the time.

Seems you're backtracking on your love for Fitz a little bit.

I'm not a Bridgewater fan but we make the playoffs with him. Fitz and Mallet cost us a few games.

the studs went early. i wouldn't say it was impossible to miss after the first round. and obviously we weren't going w/ WR w/ the #1 overall.

I wasn't just talking about Bridgewater, I was talking about ANY QB from this class. Fitz outperformed them all if we look at it objectively (which is something Texans fans aren't very good at, especially when it comes to QB's). If we have Fitz for every game, we make the playoffs.

I think if AJ believes in the staff, that he will be back.

Can we cut him and resign him for more after he looks through FA and finds out that he will be making pennies on the dollar?

Says the guy who thinks signing manning would have been a mistake:rolleyes:

You do realize that this stance invalidates everything you have to say about anything.

Could also depend on what QB we have. Don't see him coming back for Fitz.

Based on season performance. I think we win the game against the Bengals if we upgrade from broken Mallett to Fitz.

The guy had his chance to start every game & got benched based on performance.
