I wouldve taken that deal. Farmar and the 29th for 1m? That's a deal u do so if u have to deal brooks or lowry, u have a young pg who can shoot and finish. U could actually flip the 29th pick for someone earlier. There have been reports of the suns trading the 14th for the thunders 25th. 4 more spots and u have a lotto selection.

The lakers are just trying to dump salary. What ever they pay ariza and odom will have to be doubled.

I actually agree, though more on Farmar than on the 29th pick. Farmar makes just under 2m, and at worst is a good guy to have as a 3rd PG. It would depend what else is in the cards, though.

I think Farmar is a decent back-up at best. I guess this deal would be hard to rationalize, untill we see whats left of our core.

I'm not the hugest Farmar guy, but I'd take their draft pick. :)

Pretty obvious they turned it down because they're getting much deeper in the draft anyways.

Well, if any team was going to overpay for a draft pick, not terribly surprising that it was the Knicks.

I think the first pick of the second round is worth way more than that pick. You get the same quality of player but you don't have to give them a guaranteed contract which means you can tuck them away.

I would have done that for 500K and you get the 29th pick, oh yeah.
You can use that as a bargain piece to trade for someone or even move up in the draft for close to nothing.
