Well, the OP could be right. Sac could have asked about Casspi for Brooks. Of course, Houston -- who has too many wings -- would say no. And, Houston could have easily asked about Brooks for Cousins, and of course Sac would say no. I'm not sure why they would bother having these conversations when it should be quite obvious that it wouldn't fly, but they must talk to one another a lot anyway, so who knows.

As I stated awhile back, Brooks is the Kings #1 target. They're inquiring about him cheaply,but come cba, this wont be a lowry or scola situation this go round. The rockets will have to think and move quickly in determination of brooks future with the rockets. If they have any hesitation, the kings are going to make him an big offer and force the rockets to match. We're not talking mle money or scola money, we're talking 9m+ to start.

1 + 1 = what? The Kings are a mess starting with the owners financial problems and moving to arena issues and, oh yeah, on court they are a year or two or seven away from hearing a cow bell announce a play-off vision.

I don't expect a Brooks + deal for Cousins + but, hey - - no one expected the Spanish Inquisition (BA).

 

I don't care if they offer 9M or 15M, we will match. That is the entire point in the "no extensions" policy, so that when they enter restricted free agency, the ball is in OUR court. If the Kings want him that bad, they won't have any problem forking over exactly what we want in a sign and trade. Or else they simple won't get Brooks.

There are no free lunches. And if there were, they certainly aren't offered by a cut throat like Morey who would borderline slander a fan favorite just to sign him to a cheaper contract(Landry).

 

Casspi plus their unprotected 2011 first round pick could be interesting.
