I did't get that suggestion from Doc Rocket. But I do remember DR saying the Rockets liked Ross in the draft. (Just like he mentioned the Rockets liked Myles Turner, Booker, Drummond, Valanciunas in past drafts etc.). I mentioned Ross because he is a 3/D guy that might work better in Houston's/MDA's system instead of Toronto's. And Toronto needs a PF. Seems like a good match for both teams. @Codman might have even alluded to Ross in a previous post but I can't specifically remember.
Sounds like it went down $1m in 1st year, or added some guaranteed to 2nd year to make up for it. Maybe they added more yrs? This was what Codman's and others (BimaThug) were reporting in the Summer. Stein only mentions the first year. Length of contract and options and guaranteed $ are as important if not more.
Calvin Wakins says DMO is looking into playing Over Seas. If he is turning down a multi-year deal with 7 million dollars in year 1, he needs to get the hell on!!!
About time, he already knew a better offer was coming. That's why he said he would be back in Houston via text. It is happening, should be a huge addition.
