with GSW also struggling on the front court, DM should be quick to nab tyson chandler or Faried for defense or rebounding

I think it's hilarious how yall's first thoughts after watching last nights game is bringing Dmo back.

I would like Dmo back, but he's defintely more of the same.

We lost last night because of defense and rebounding, Dmo's weaknesses. Want him back all yall want, but don't use last nights game as a reason for it, he wouldn't of helped where we needed it.

We need another big who can defend and or get rebounds on the floor. I wish we went with a Harrell / Capela combo but at that point we'd be giving up too much on offense. Comes back to us needing two players.

Team has to work on boxing out, Morey has to work on making sure Ennis and Brewer never get another miniute in a Rockets jersey, utter trash.

dmo's weakness is not defense. where did you get that from?

You know how it is, though. We start out with a loss that shouldn't have happened and the DMo brigade (mostly middle-aged white guys who want to adopt DMo, btw) jumps out and says he would have been the key to victory.

It's obvious DMo isn't in the plans, except for one season at the low low cost of $4.4 million (or whatever it is). I liked him here when he was healthy and I hope he still has a good career ahead of him; but I can't help but think that he'd only be signed and traded at this point (if there's some deal out there still on the back burner).

Having a center that can space the floor with threes will really open up the offense. Who stops Harden in the paint if DMo is in the corner ready to hit an open three? Capela looked great last night but DMo still brings another element to the team on offense.

The ideal rotation on offense is surrounding Harden with 4 bombers. DMo is the 4th one

The offense is already better than we could've hoped. It's the defense that made us lose to a team like the rebuilding Lakers

Why do you think he's been available for years and no one has acquired him?

There is no place in the NBA for a pure dunker/rebounder to play all your minutes at the 4. Who the f even still has someone like that starting excpet the Nuggets? No defense, no shotblocking ability. Might as well stick to the guy who can only score.

A flaw is a flaw, doesn't matter if it's your least favorite flaw. All that matters is the impact each flaw has. Right now there's no indication that the improvement in rebounding from Anderson to Faried would MORE THAN offset the annihilation of scoring and space. Especially with the offense we're committed to.

Faried doesn't start anymore. From this season he will be coming off the bench. However, we will see how that will work out because Jokic and Nurkic right now don't work well together. Perhaps he will regain his starting spot - if not traded.

No individual player can prevent d league level squads from getting 120 points a night....that is a system issue. Until Dantoni is fired we will be dealing with this problem. This is why many many fans were upset with the hire after suffering through the porous defense of last year.

Rebounding from the big spot is a big part of your team defense. He's one of the worst rebounding bigs the Rockets have had in recent years so I can't really see how anyone can say with a straight face that he's not a weakness on defense.

THAT BEING SAID - D-Mo (alot like Patrick Patterson) is very good at rotations, and help side defense. Something that alot of Rockets since the departure of the Battier years Rockets, have been very undisciplined at.

D-Mo seems to fit best next to another big who is a plus rebounder, but someone that doesn't take up his space in the paint on offense. I look at like a Taj Gibson type of player fitting in well with him on the frontline. Having good rebounding guards and wings like Pat Beverley with him too would help as well.

Point being... he is a very flawed player up to this point in his career on the defensive end, but I'm still a fan, and looking forward to him coming back on the squad. I do think he can help.

The offense fell off hard in the 2nd half against the Lakers. Having 4 shooters ensures Harden will always have 2 reliable options. Drive to the basket or pass to an open shooter if he gets help defense.

Jesus. Sign the guy already. You are paying Corey Brewer good money to run around like Forrest Gump. Give DMO a shot. That said. Could they construct the contract like this

3 year 18 million. 2nd and 3rd year team option. If during year 1 dmo plays / eligible to play 70 games 2nd year becomes garaunteed. 80 game and both years garaunteed? Is that allowed?

Yea but we'll get destroyed on the boards and defensively even worse. The bigger more physical bigmen will have a field day vs DMo. We don't need more offense

I like what Capela is showing so far especially with his development in rebounding so I do think that duo has potential. However I don't know if the D-Mo fans will be happy with his post touches in that lineup, but that's okay with me. Its all for the good of the team. The main thing for D-Mo in that lineup is he's got to consistently hit 3's or you know for a fact that D'Antoni will favor Anderson starting and killing us on defense.

Not so sure, one thing DMo has over Anderson is that HE RUNS on the break and will get tons of easy baskets, Dmo is very fast for a big man.
