The only thing I've learned from DMO's free agency is that BJ Armstrong is a bi*ch! Now I know why his first name is BJ.
meh, Dmo will probably only be asked to do what he's good at which is set picks, play position D, Post up, Open 3 and pass. All he'd really need to overcome is getting in game shape. Plus D'Antoni doesn't feel the same way as mentioned in that Cal Watkins article earlier in the week.
Do all the Euro leagues start at the same time? Just wondering if we have an idea of when Dmo will decide NBA or Europe.
No one should believe the information anyone here gives until a Woj Bomb has been detonated proving the statement. Period.
Why are people anticipating DMO's return like he's Jordan coming back from baseball or something?? Are we gonna sign him? when will he sign? How many days do I have to wait to throw a massive Celebration?? This dude isn't even on Toni Kukoc or Steve Kerr's level! He might be able to hang with Luc Longley but even that might be stretching it. He was bench fodder last year. Let his 2 month streak die already and move on. This guy will not be a starter on this team and will not make a difference between making the playoffs or not or getting out of the first round. He's out for money and the Rockets are wisely saying, prove your worth you 7' tall injury prone goon!!
And re-start the quest to reacquire Lishouk? Never again. We lost him once, we can't lose him again. Lishouk is everything.
I'm so torn at this point. Our roster is not very good. Replacing a Bobby Brown with a DMo is at least a slight improvement, but slight improvements to the talent pool are precious right now. OTOH, I want Harrell and Dekker to get as many minutes as possible and see if they can be a part of the future. Is D-Mo really going to stay long term even if he stays? Is it worth having someone on the roster after this bitter negotiation?
It's hard to tell if this is serious or sarcastic. The Rockets don't play any defense, so I can't imagine he'd have to worry about learning that and getting in game shape shouldn't take any time at all.....also he's been on the team a while so chemistry really shouldn't be a problem. Also, those on the team that he hasn't played with before are likely to be hurt off and on so it's even less of an issue. When the Rockets are playing guys like Dekker and Wiltjer heavy minutes due to injuries, pretty much everyone will wish DMo had signed already.
MDA did say he could quickly integrate DMo into the system. Of course, in hindsight maybe he should have said, "it's very difficult to pick up this system once you get behind everyone else. He needs to sign soon, or I might not be able work him in."
He probably never thought that this would go past the deadline for the QO. I still can't believe he didn't sign it.
Pretty clear we need him, he is the best post defender on the team...the tallest guy on the team too. DD
LOL, and yeah the Rox have been killed in the post all night by Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell. Never change brah
It is a layup line in there, we know DMO is not a shot blocker but he is a great lane clogger, and stands tall and draws charges, best positional defensive big on the Rockets assuming he signs... DD
Aside from the abject absurdity of the idea that all the Rockets need is a "lane clogger" to just magically stand around.....The last time we saw DMO he was getting clowned repeatedly by the Warriors on D by....Curry..no Thompson...no wait, it was actually Marreese Speights. really. Back before he was worthless damaged goods, he was an offensive specialist . .. so...no. Just no.
