Didn't Morey already say publicly that a big with a low post game wasn't as useful to the Rockets because it would pack the paint and nullify our penetrating guards?

Prolly said it because Pat/Asik suck in the post.

Yes he did. He said maybe to have one coming off the bench but not as a starter. He also said if they where to get another big time player they would not be picky about the position.

What kind of dumb **** is that? You can have a good post threat who's the #1 option and still have enough plays where guards can penetrate and kick it out or make something happen. If that is Morey's thinking, we will not get a championship team. A stretch 4, even an elite one, is not going to get you far.

Miami just won a championship without a post player being their #1 option.

Why in the world would cousins be our number one option?

Cousins is a ticking time bomb. He hasn't learned how to channel frustration. You don't know what'll he do next. Needs either a good smacking to put the fear of God in him or sit in the psychiatrist's chair of Metta World Peace

No, he said he'd like the post presense to be at the 5 instead of 4, and it's hard to penetrate if both of your 4&5 are packed in the paint.

I think Royce and boogie will be good for each other. No way this goes bad.

Change of scenery won't help this loss cause. He has no self control. As soon as he hit Vince last night he had the I'm sorry look in his face so be understands what he is doing wrong he just can't stop it

Did you watch Finals? You didn't watch LBJ become total monster post.

Lebron pretty much is a post player now.

Ron Artest was on his best behavior as a Rocket. The fact that the Rockets signed Artest and drafted Royce White says that the Rockets are willing to take a chance on crazy people. Maybe that has changed now after what has happened with White, I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rockets trade for Cousins. The Rockets like to trade with the Kings and Morey has said in the past that the Rockets probably need to be willing to take chances in order to build a contender.

I'm not saying the Rockets should trade for Cousins, just that I think they would consider it. If the Kings are sold I don't know how this would affect the Cousins situation. I wonder if Jeremy Lin would be popular in Seattle?

He said basketball was to complex to say you have to have a post option. Said optimally for our team you want that at your five. He said it gets hard when two Biggs are both on the blocks clogging the lane.

exactly, i think DM's plan is to sign Josh Smith as FA in the summer and then trade Asik + some of our PFs for Nene or Gasol (both the players he tried to aquire in the Lowry for Gasol trade plan) to play 5.

our line-up could look like this:
    Nene (or Gasol), G. Smith
    J. Smith, Pat or Morris or T-Jones or DMo (whoever remain after the trade)
    Parsons, Delfino
Hardan, Anderson or sign some Vet. with the exceptions
    Lin, Douglas, Beverly

people would say Gasol is too old to run with our young guns, but if he's to replace Asik that's an upgrade in speed and also he will be great at throwing the outlet pass to our guards. in the playoffs, his low post present and experience will be valuable to this young team. J-smoove will make up the rebounding difference.

If the Rockets were able to get Cousins without giving up Lin, Harden, Parsons, Patterson and Asik, this team would be complete.
