    I'd like to throw my own "insider" information that I concocted while eating lunch at my desk:

    Ketchup and Mustard are saying that the Knicks are wanting to shed some salary to create a max-player slot next summer. Addtionally, Sweet and Sour is reporting that Cleveland is ready to move JR Smith and his partially guaranteed deal to the highest bidder. Local Kikkoman Soy is saying that the Rockets can get into this mix. Houston would receive Courtney Lee and Noah Vonleh (a 3&D player and rebounder the team really needs), Rockets would send Cleveland: Nene, Chriss, MCW, Qi, and a 2nd Round Pick. New York would receive, get this, JR Smith and Carmelo Anthony. Cleveland would save $5 million in this transaction (total salaries for players they receive is $9.7 versus Smith's salary of $14.7 this year), Houston adds depth to their team and New York...well...they get to deal with drama of yesteryear for a few months before unsuccessfully signing any player of significance next summer.

    OP is just playing random trade generator based off Kevin O'Connor's reporting. :rolleyes:

    Ariza has since been traded & nothing to indicate this is "still active".

    One of the other variations of an Ariza deal that was discussed before the Suns sent him to the Wizards featured the Rockets and Hawks, league sources tell O’Connor. In that scenario, Ariza would have gone to the Lakers and the Rockets would have acquired Caldwell-Pope. The Suns would have received Jeremy Lin and an additional asset, while the Hawks got Brandon Knight and a first-round pick.

    I don't doubt what you're hearing/opining at all, but Lin hasn't earned the clout that it takes to get to pick and choose where you play. One thing about Lin is that he finds the positive in most situations, so I feel like he'd still be a good addition. Now watching the meltdown of CF as it gets inundated by LOFs again isn't something I'm looking forward to, but we all have to make sacrifices for the culture. Right @Dream Shook ??
