    folks in here acting like harden didn't make this known before the season started. Holding onto false hope is what lead to this point. that's not on him. it's not working and it's not going to. move on

    It's one thing to sit out and say I want a trade and another thing to play half a$$ed and then have the audacity to tell your teammates your not good enough. Ridiculous!

    This shouldn't be a surprise. If and when Harden gets traded a ton more dirty laundry will be aired.

    Having a disgruntle employee who DOESNT want to be there hardly ever works out for the organization, especially if they are unprofessional and uncooperative.

    Which is why I disagreed with KOC and many on this site about the Rockets not needing to trade Harden sooner than later. The longer the trade takes the less leverage the Rockets have. Its even worst now - as the Rockets are forced to sit out Harden - while they pursue trades.

    I disagree. I don't think I've ever said not to trade him. I like Harden, but I'm all for a trade. I don't condone his behavior, but this is pretty much par for the course. Stars historically do things like this when they want to be traded. This is not groundbreaking. Lots of guys on this forum getting in their feelings about it like they are really in some kind of committed relationship with this man and he is trying to leave them. They should've traded him before any of this even became public. Each passing day, you're sitting on a powder keg that could blow at any time. For what? Part of the theory was to prove to him that the team was the best ever assembled around him. Yeah doesn't look to be the case even when he is off the floor offensively or defensively. The people in a fantasy land were all the people saying to sit him on the bench for 2 years and let him rot or to trade him to a bottom feeder team that he wouldn't commit to. Neither are realistic options.
