    also, i love how ready they were with the cameras for the patriot act line so that we could see half of them standing and half of them sitting.

    I think it is incredibly sexy how Cheney's big bald head enters the screen, a little bit, but then back out...oh no, you sexy thang, you won't give us all of it...but then some comes in, a little more, more glistening head, and shooop, back out of the frame.....oh baby....you tease me sooooo goood. Liberal vice presidents are never as sexy.

    My reaction was "Oh, HELL no."

    Edit - yeah, f4p. Clinton had it, used it once, then it got struck down as unconstitutional.

    The Clinton administration claimed that the president had the power of line item veto and used it. It went to the supreme court and the court ruled that the constitution didn't specify that the president have this power. Thus you would need Congress to pass legislation to grant that authority since it isn't inherent to the president.

    We absolutely can make Middle Eastern oil a thing of the past. Hello oil from Canadian tar sands and Rocky Mountain shale.
