Well hmm...I can't understand anything at all there but the picture is happily right there on the front page. . .
damn, ABC 13 said if Mobley had been facing forward they would have put it on the air. Too bad... there are still a few other channels out there though.
NBA If the NBA is too irresponsible to police their own sites how do they have time to police this one
It sure don't take much to put you guys into a frenzy. It looks like a shirt to me can't really see much cept it's red with two white stripe around the sleeves.
could it be that ther jersey mobley is wearing is not the finalized version? couldnt that be the reason Clutch took the pic down? The Rockets may have informed him that they dont want pics of the incorrect versions of the jersey floating around
ohhhh, this is BIG. baby, BIG!!! we are gonna be on sportscenter i can feel it in my bones!!! actually, i think we scared some of the people in the nba. they are afraid that the FAKE jerseys that you can get at the flea markets will be unveiled before they get a chance to make money off of the real thing.
Welcome Penguin! Will we be seeing more of you round here? You've been registered for almost a year and this is your first post, I'm honored. My woman wishes I had that kind of restraint
I agree with HP on this one; I think trying to stem the tide at this point is futile. A leak is a leak, and despite best intentions, asking Clutch to remove it is shooting the messenger for delivering the message. Not that anyone is 'shooting' Clutch, but they are shooting the 'scoop' that CC snagged. Depends on what happens next. I'm interested. The bigger story than a side-view look at Kingston Mobley in new uni is the fact that the NBA does not have it's ship together at all, and that CC.net is a far more timely, accurate, and honest depiction of the world of the Houston Rockets. Seriously, that is amazing -- CC.net scopped e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e, once again confirming that this preposterously-well-maintained internet community is kicking the collective asses of all mainstream media outlets, the Rockets and the NBA. And I mean kicking their collective asses. Not that CC.net is in competition with these guys, but it goes to show that a well-run public site -- and this one is light years ahead of the curve, so the rest of the league can enjoy these last few moments of corporate control for about two more seconds -- is fairly unstoppable. Supply, demand, technology, and of course, Tawian. What could be more American (cue Toby Keith). I would guess this is a personal favor to Tim -- one he has earned, because he is a champ for posting here -- but I do think the damage is done. I am guessing it is just too painful for the Rockets guys to see it on the front page of a fansite, but what's done is sooooo done. For Tim and Co., who have put a tremendous amount of work into the unveiling, I am sorry that the Rockets did not get to debut it on their own terms. But honestly, I do not think it has quenched to curiosity of what the new uni's will look like. Its kind of cool, but I bet folks at the Rockets are pissed. I'll bet they are afraid that Less Alexander is going to have some weird Napoleonic fit when he finds out. Hey Rockets-employees who-read-this-site: If this needs to be spun to Les, try saying that people have a good idea but do not know the whole deal, and are way curious. It's true. Oh and by the way it looks great, nice work. CBFC
Agree and agree. While undoubtedly the NBA knows and is trying to do something about this, the fact that the picture is still on one of their sites shows they don't have their stuff together (how hard is it to call up NBA overseas and tell them to take a picture down?). Clutch, most likely is doing this because he talked to someone specifically with the Rockets (ala Tim), not the NBA. Also, as someone who immediately thought the new logo as great, I am certainly relieved that the uni's with just the R on the front was rejected. Looks great on a hat and a t-shirt, or even a warmup jersey, but the uni itself seems much better with Houston or Rockets on the front and the logo on the shorts.
Well, since I'm one of those who's not enamored of the new glyph-like logo, I find all of this discussion about the new uniforms to be a bit on the sad side. It looks like that's the only way the Rockets will be able to generate some excitement this fall as I certainly don't expect much from the team given what's been happening in the conference thus far.
On the other hand.. what time is it over there now? They are probably having to wait for the start of the business day over there, and I bet you a bag of donuts that the pic is gone by some time in the middle of the night here tonight..
I don't usually post in the fourms, only b/c whatever comment I might make has already been stated....no sence in being repetitive. Secondly, what happened to my directions??? Have I been hushed by evil censors? Am I now the target of an elaborate NBA and/or Clutch City assassian Eh, either way, I don't care, there's not much to see anywho. Let's all just wait like little good boys, girls, and sports fanatics until Sept.
Do you guys really think the Rockets and the NBA just accidently let it out of the bag? Come on...it's all done for a reason, which is to create fuel for the hype machine... Just look at what it's doing to this board?!
what the Rockets need are some spinners. All they would have to say to end this is "Those are not the uniforms." And it's done. We will believe them.
