You are guys are a couple of assholes.

If Clutch has good reason to remove the link once, you think his free loading users would respect that.

Sorry! Clutch if my post giving you a trouble.

I am very disappointed in NBA since they give you a trouble because of this.

The picture is on their OWN website that they invite people to go and see it.
They can take the picture out themself if they do not want the people to see it.

I concur. The picture is on an NBA site. Plus, this BBS is just a conduit of information. No pictures are actually posted at any server that Clutch can control.

It's like passing a trade rumor around that the Rockets don't want leaked. Well, sorry to the NBA/Rockets suits, Clutch can't really control that unless he turns on moderating all messages.

It pisses me off when the NBA tries to control this BBS. I can see them making threats against the Front Page, but they have no right to shut down a thread in a community bbs...because that is pretty much thinking they can shut down the whole BBS.

for what?? posting a link to their website. sheesh. both the nba.com nd rockets.com get a lot of traffic via posts like that. You can't say bring it on in one case, then turn it off in another.

They are just making trouble for Clutch...and it sucks. nba.com just needs to take the photo off their site.

in fact, imo, it's all too late. It's in the public domain and fair game. They screwed up and are just bullying Clutch.

You should email the pic to Feigen, Berman and co. and see if they make a story out of it. ;)

yeah, there is no doubt chron.com would consider this fair game. nba.com posted the photo. it's their screw up, not Clutch's.

Yep! Even if they do not allow the direct link or reprinting the material.

Do I have a right to tell my friend what did I saw from their public website?
Does my friend have a right to visit their website too if it is open to the public?

I suggest that they should shut their website down if they do not want the public to see what is on their website.

In fairness to the league, this is all just speculation. Clutch hasn't given us the reasons why he took it down. It could be that Tim asked him, as a favor, to remove the pic until the Rockets marketing team has had a chance to unveil it properly. Tim's been so amazing to us in the past (how many other VPs are cool enough to chat with the fans?), it would be understandable for him to cash in some goodwill. And it would be a reasonable requeset. Just one of many possible explanations.

The point isn't whether it's public domain or not. The point is that Clutch was apparently on the receiving end of a not so pleasant call or email. He removed the link, more than once. So if the owner of a free site repeatedly removes links that may or may not get him in trouble, the point is to respect that and stop posting the link.

Clutch often gets inside scoop, like attending training camps, direct interview, etc. So if he continues to post that picture...what's the cliche..."cut off your nose to spite your face."

Right now he has a good relationship with the organization. If he pisses them off about this trivial issue, then he'll be an outsider just like the rest of us. Is it worth it?

Handle your business, Clutch. I ain't mad at ya.

If I had to guess it was a favor for Tim. I dont believe Tim responded in Sway's thread. If the NBA still has it up I'm pretty sure they would take it down before they asked somebody else to. No big deal if you saw it once than who cares if you see it again? This is similar to Doc Rockets thread couple months back right before the Rudy T resigniation.

If you didnt see the uni's, trust me you have nothing to worry about they look fine from the angle given.

Give me a break. The NBA/Rockets can't fix their own website, but they've got time censor clutchcity? It's a freakin' jersey, not the recipe for biological weapons. I have the utmost respect for Clutch, but someone in the Rocket's media dept. must have some compromising photos of the guy. It seems like anytime there is any breaking news around here, the thread gets shut down. And for what? So the "unveiling" isn't compromised? Man, I thought my job was stupid.

The first thing that came to my mind when I initially read the story was that Tim had decided to "leak" more infomation about the scheme, just like he did with the MTV logo thing.

If it is a favor for Tim then I can better understand.
If it is a trouble from the NBA then I think the news media should be informed about it.

Yeah, that would be pretty neat.

Scary, it's still up on that site. I saved it only to 'enhance' it to no avail.

Well, at least we got a look at it!
