If Clutch will let it happen, I'm all in favor of calling you GPF. That's a cool moniker for sure. GPF, you have made the great prediction of the future again! You've predicted your new moniker.... maybe.... depends on you and clutch.
WTF?? You think TMAC will never be healthy again? Who cares what you think! There is NOT a trade scenario that would even make sense, unless the Lakers are offering kobe. Wanna know why? Cause nobody but kobe is a better perimeter player than TMAC! Having TMAC in the game means you can win ANY game. Yes he has some health issues, but now is not the time to trade him, if we ever are going to. YAOMAC need a few more years together before you give up on such a dynamic combo. AK47 isn't exactly healthy either. And niether he nor memhet compliment Yao offensively. Not a good trade. You're as smart as CD
Stop saying "Trade TMAC", he is not only a franchise player, but a super star as well. He is worthy three starters for trade althouth he has a healthy issue. Like two years ago, everybody in Florida knows Tmac has a back pain, Rockets still paied three starters.
This will be my first post and I'm really excited to be a part of the clutchfans community. For the draft I think Brewer is the choice all the way and would be really great if we get a trade with Orlando and still get him at #12. Unless Roy, Gay or Morrison drops, Brewer is the guy to pick. I wouldn't even waste my time if Thomas drops, we already have Swift in our lineup. As for trading TMAC. I agree that back injuries never go away and this will always be an issue for the rest of his career. I'm all about winning now and I don't really believe in rebuilding. Winning now and rebuilding for the future is the difference between teams like the Spurs and the Hawks. TMAC is awesome, but he just doesn't play hard every minute that he's out there on the court. And if he's our leader then how would the other players react to this? I'm not sure about how it would work salary wise, but I would trade TMAC for Iverson since he's gone in Philly for sure. Iverson still has two good years in him and we'll always have Yao to build around every year.
though tmac isnt 100%, trading him isnt the answer. how about building around him? just imagine what a star backcourt could do for him. throw in a banger at the 4 and you have a championship team. if you give tmac better players, he will excel
I sincerely hope I'm wrong and TMAC is great for the next 5 years. I love his effort on defense and his willingness to be a team player. I'm just sick of watching the other 2 Texas teams in the finals and if I am, unfortunately, right, we won't get a sniff of the finals during the Yao era. I don't think we can get an even trade for TMAC, but I would take a fairly good trade in the hope we could build around Yao.
The problem with this whole scenario is that T-mac's value couldn't be lower becuase of all the unknowns. So why would we trade a player when his value is at it's lowest? The best we could do is trade him to a team with cap space for spare parts, ala the trade that sent Carter to Jersey for Mourning and who Williams? That is the kind of offers that were gonna get for T-mac if we go to the table desperate. However, if he starts off the season well and his value skyrockets again, even though there will always be questions about his back looming, who here is going to be advocating a trade then?
if we can get 2 for 1 i fwould trade him...tmac has never been a guy that works hard in offseaso..i think a couple of more injury seasons and he will retire...he doesn't LOVE the game like some players..he has enough money...if he gets frustrated enough, he will retire in a few years...chrnic back prolbmes never go away...
I guess u told me. english 101? Im typing on a message board not writing an essay. Like i said, you must be some kind of nerd, i bet you are looking at this sentence right now and saying, He didnt use proper punctuation, or he didnt use the correct word. a damn shame
if we can get KG for Tmac im down for that...KG is very durable...and yao and KG as our frontline would be awesome...that would also fill our need at the PF position and then we just need to fill out the perimeter with guys that can hit open shots...
I don't really know if any of these scenarios are possible and I'm pretty sure the Rockets won't even explore the options for trading TMAC. Unfortunately for us, they will wait until he is re-injured and he will become the same kind of albatross that Juwan has become. God, I hope I'm wrong, because I love the Rockets and can't stand the thought of another 5-10 years of clipperdom. But to indulge the dream, I would take Pierce or KG straight up for McGrady. If trade rules would allow it and Seattle would bite, I would take Rashard and the #10 pick for him and add some cash to help pay the difference (what the hell, Les, it's only money.
Please dont even try and tell us tmac doesnt love the game you can easily tell he has as much passion as ne one in it when he hits a game winner and he errupts and please please dont tell us he doesnt work hard because the reason his bak went out on him this season is b/c he worked so hard last offseason!
I hate to say it, but I think t mac has lost some of the things that this team need him too do that will make us stronger. take dirk for example prior to this year he was a jump shooter if he missed that was it one and done.T Mac is becoming that same type of player with bad shot selection and not willing to get close to the basket or attack the basket more. I would take Paul pierce over t Mac because he at least follows up his shot and is not too far on offense from Tracy. We need scrappy players especially from our top players.
He pwned you Don. Your attempts at recovery have not worked. Suffer the indignity of being pwned by a "newb".
I'd trade T-Mac + Allston + Head for Iverson + Korver + #13 pick we can take Brewer with the #13 and use our own pick to get Shelden or Marcus Williams. Starting five: Yao Ming, S. Williams, Korver, Brewer, Iverson
