Just stop talking about hopping on nuts and *icks. All I'm asking is for you to take English 101 and contribute some $ to the bbs, rook. moving along...
Agreed, but using this logic, one should agree that TMac is too good of a player to risk trading away now. If we use the basic concept of expected value.. TMac's ability when healthy * Probability of TMac getting severely injured = Still a whole lot of ability!
Next year should be a good lithmus of where T-mac and this team is going. Hopefully we'll be watching them next year around this time...
We have been down this road before. Here is the conundrum: if he is healthy and can say healthy, you don't want to trade him, because he is one of the top five talents in the league; if he is not healthy or if he can't say healthy, no one wants him. It is really quite simple and terribly complex at the same time.
I'm sure the Rockets organisation has a better idea of how bad T-Mac's situation is and will act appropriately.
Who would give up anything of value for a player with back problems and several years remaining on a max contract?? The answer is no one. Our best bet is to pray that his back heals and he comes back strong. By the way the trades offered in this thread are ridiculous. AK47 and Okur for an injured T-Mac? No way in their right mind does Utah do that trade. And Boston giving up Pierce AND the #7 for T-Mac, why would they do that? Makes no sense.
Why nobody is talking about trading Yao? His left foot has broken several times. It sure sounds dangeous to me too. Oh hell, let's have a whole sell, Tmac and Yao for AK47 and the turkey. Now are you happy??
When Tracy McGrady is hoisting up both the NBA finals MVP award and Larry Obrien trophy approximately 365 days from now I hope everyone in this thread who suggested we trade him gets thrown out on their asses like Fred Flintstone. Until then, you have all been put on notice.... Tread lightly, my friends, tread lightly...
I don't want Tracy to be traded. But even if the Rockets were actively shopping him, they'd have a tough time getting a worthwhile trade. Tracy's stock is way down right now.
We hope and pray T-Mac is healthy, but anyone who regards him now as the cornerstone of our franchise is blind. Sad, but true. Anyone willing to give up anyone who's equivalent to T-Mac at 80% we'd be foolish to take. I can't believe how beloved T-Mac is here after 1 healthy, and arguably down year.
I would trade him if we could get a deal like the one that was rumored to involve KG and the wolves #1 for TMac and our #2. The key is to find a deal where you don't feel screwskied if TMac returns to health.
So if the Opposite happens can we expect the same of you?? I mean common your so sure it MIGHT happen...
Ther difference is that alot of BACKS don't heal 100% but most foot injuries heal 100%-- McGrady=Back injury, Yao Ming = Foot injury. big difference!
We all hope that T Mac can return to his former self but the odds are against him. I hope that he beats the odds, especially if the Rox decide NOT to trade him. Our Team needs him to be 100%. the only counterbalance is that we sign a couple of other good shooters to take the strain away from T Mac.
ok that is almost as dumb as the guy above u.......tmac has owned ak47 and by owned i mean ak is tmacs b****, and okur why they hell u want him?????? tmac has had 1 season that he missed cuz his back sooo many games and that was last year damn people see how he is when he comes back before u bash him
I'd rather roll the dice with T-mac for the rest of his career. We have an insurance named Yao Ming. We just need some half-decent players around him and we'll be playoff-contenders, T-mac or not.
