Francis made the most out of what he had and gave his heart and energy every night. There wasn't a guy who was more passionate and truly cared about the HOUSTON ROCKETS than the artist formerly known as " The Franchise".

T-mac is way more talented and had all the tools to go down as one of the GOAT and I really believe that if he had the desire and passion. He brought it on occasion but occasion is not good enough for legendary status.

I was a big Tmac fan but he quit on us just like he quit in Orlando.

    WE WANT STEVE!!!

No doubt in my mind - Stevie. He was a true Rocket in every sense of the word.

While T-mac can careless about this city or team.

SF3 but if TMac had the heart and killer attitude that Kobe has TMac with the skills he had would've been better even than Kobe.

I'm going to go against the grain and say McGrady. It may not be fair, but people usually remember players for the teams they belonged to as much as their individual talent.

People will remember the McGrady/Yao era as one where championship-caliber talent was undone by a string of injuries. And whatever faults he had, McGrady was a major reason why the Rockets were hyped so much - well, at least during preseasons. When he was in his "killer" mode, he was incredible to watch.

With Francis, the team never got even close to getting it together. I'll remember the Stevie Franchise era for some athletic plays but for a string of mediocre seasons that didn't go anywhere. I loved the guy's passion and love of Houston, but I never thought he was a player whom the Rockets could build around.

Francis was/is a Houston Rocket fan favorite. It is an unfair question especially in light of the current events surrounding McGrady. Francis undoubtedly gave his all to this team. However, McGrady brought more and produced more.

Lets not forget either, that Francis had plenty of me-first episodes during his tenure here as well ( 2004 Superbowl).

When it is all said and done, and people can look at this question objectively, McGrady should be looked upon more favorably. It is undisputed that McGrady's accomplishments as a Rocket were greater than Francis's.
