are you aware how bad a team has to be to win fewer than 60 games? historically bad. no one here is rearranging their october plans by any means, but as long as berkman, lee and oswalt stay healthy... there's *no way* this team wins fewer than 60 games. and 65 is probably a stretch, too.
Why does this happen every April? My goodness. Yes, they're bad. No, they're not historically bad to the point where they will lose around or more than 100 games. Get some perspective.
yeah...two days ago they were on a 23-139 pace!!! the worst team...ever!!! i'm sure all of that will hold. these early season projections almost ALWAYS hold serve.
They are always easier to watch with a few cold beers in me. Speaking of which, I’m going to the game tonight. Is it true they raised beer prices this year??
I'll take the under on Pence hitting 54 home runs and the over on Lee hitting 18 (provided he stays healthy).
I think you should post it every day whether they play or not. Set up a recurring appointment in Outlook or something to remind you.
The Red Sox have gotten off to a slower start than we have, I think our play will be better than the first 2 series of the season.
Paces the first 9 games of the year: 0-162 81-81 54-108 41-121 32-130 27-135 23-139 41-121 54-108 If you average all those paces together, you get 23-139. Current pythagorean suggest a 3-6 record. All of those will improve. They'll win between 75-82 games, depending on roster changes and injuries.
