I didn't get to watch the game, but from the game stats, we did quite well offensively. Even the Kings are not known for their defense, but +.500 FG % is pretty good, especially from our two main horses.

My question is our defense. How did we let the Kings score 100+? Were the Kings just hot, or we didn't play good D? Thanks.

after dropping 31 pts the last game and then 14 (?) in the 1st quater, you would think the kings would have made some adjustments during the game when covering yao.

why are the kings one of the few teams that dont front yao? does fronting defense require your center to have certain skills that brad miller doesnt have?

The Kings were hitting some crazy shots esp. Bobby Jackson, he was pretty much the difference in the game, IMHO.

It depends on your taste. Brad is one of the rare players who love to be behind Yao, while the majority cannot wait for Yao to go behind them.;)

Barrett, I wanna see allot more of that speed let me tell ya, and I will now stop raggin Yao since he seems to have taken his viyamins and is ready to strap it on a little more. Yes, TM is just sick wiyh those moves and I submit last year we would have lost by 12 or more..imo

go rockets...man they sure are fun to watch again...

Thats it, put Barrett in the starting line up.

Naw, but for real, he did a good job last night. I would like to see more of him. He is pretty quick and it looks like he can hit a jumper. Maybe he just had a good game, but he seems quick. I think he may help us out.

I am very impressed with Tracy McGrady this season. He seems to score with ease. Pass up shots to find teammates with better position (even though sometime he is up in the air when he passes the ball, he does not cause a turnover ... amazing). Very unselfish.

The only thing I wish that T-Mac develops is more passion and leadership and desire for a win (not settle for a loss).

By the way, I like Matt Bullard, he is a very good commentator
    and gives good analysis.

I'm down for this thread. The last thee games, they have shown improvement. I see potential. One or two more players could make such a huge difference. I want an "Amare-like" PF (who doesn't) and a speedy, hot-shooting, play-making PG. Actually, Lue has looked pretty good.

Really? I know this is supposed to be a feel-good thread, but what the hell, someone has to say it.
Down the strech, last 45 seconds, Matt Bullard was like "The key now for rockets right now is ... to get the ball to Yao and McGrady's hands get them involved..." Matt, thanks for reminding us of that, but you failed to point how.

Now, one more thing, is this team a consistent team? My opinion is too early to tell. You never know what kind of Yao would show up for the game. Also we dont know what kind of shooting streak will Tmac put on for the game. What kind of game JJ, Howard, Taloy's going to bring. And our guards. Kings were lucky, dont you think we had some luck too, especially the 2nd half. We shot better actually behind the arc.
Jury is still out on this team.
I like our chances in a close game.
    :D

yeah, Lue has been looking pretty good lately. There's now way we can get Amare, thus I would consider Chris Bosch, but Toronto would probably not let that guy go either.

Oh, Bosch would be a nice pick up...but like you said; he probably is not going anywhere.

So many things to comment on..

Like Jeff said, give Barrett some time. Lue played well. Plus high-energy guys generally look good when they're going good and look really bad otherwise. See if he can be consistent (Barrett)

Honestly, Bullard sounded a little dumb at some points. But I still like him better than Van (who also says stupid things)...and I have a soft spot for Bullard. How can you not? ;)

Bosh? Please. Just as untouchable as Amare. Bosh is incredible..or will be.

Overall, solid game by the Rockets. Lapses at the wrong times, and I still have issues with a few of TMac's shots (though much less-so than I did even a week ago...he's adjusting still). And I wish the team could look slightly less lost when Yao and TMac are both out. Juwan and Mo are decent options...make them #1 and GO.

For this team, we need a tough, rebounding PF. "Amare-like" PFs score a ton of points but rebound worth crap.

I've been impressed all season. Seldom does any team keep the Arco fans as quiet as they were last night.

I always thought Bullard was good at halftime analyst, but I've never liked him as a color man. He's too boring.
