Love Ford, but with anything close to Final Four for UT, he's going pro. Likely top 5 pick, so any trade would involve major players. Like I said before, I'd love T.J. and Steve would be unbelievable, but another rookie as the foundation? What are we, the Bulls? We need veteran experience and toughness: Kurt Thomas, Gen. Grant, ADavis, P.J. We also need a vet gunner at the 2: Person, Barry, RMiller? Just think: Yao/Cato Kthomas/MoT Posey/Rice Person/Hawk Francis/Mooch
We'd have to give up something to sign Brand, I don't think we could outright sign him for what he's asking for even when he becomes a FA. I'm a big fan of TJ Ford but Griffin and Boki are more needed than another PG with potential. Francis will probably stay at PG and their just no way we could live with a 6-3 SG and a 5-10 PG starting, way too short. And we still have Tito which was considered a lottery PG back at Fresno also while leading all freshman with 8apg. IMO in respect to all the trade treads I think we should stand pat.
We are OVER THE CAP. WE CANT SIGN BRAND. If he signs anywhere for less than the max then the clipps will match the offer because hes a RESTRICTED FA. and Sterling wont trade us Brand for crap, hed rather let him walk. If TJ goes high in the draft(top 3), Griff + Boki wont get the job done. TJ probly wont even come out this year. It is just sorry whacking dcing bs.
TJ may have talent but he is NOT what this team needs. Too short so he can't complement Steve in the backcourt, and already the Rox have Francis, Norris, and Maddox to play the pg position. IF somehow there was a possibility to trade for him, there's not way you give up Boki and Griffin.. just no way.
