seriously... i dont think i've ever felt this bad for a player. dude is the one of the most talented players in nfl history and is the epitome of class. i know he's getting paid but mcnair is doing him, the organization, and the fans a disservice by allowing this guys talents to go squandered in this fashion.

I know Andre makes millions, but I wouldn't blame him if he requested a trade.

Andre Johnson delivered another 100-yard game - his nine catches were good for 140 and that clutch touchdown grab at the back edge of the end zone with less than half a minute left - but the longest-tenured, most-accomplished Texan was left to deal with the harsh reality of what lies ahead.

Eight seasons almost done and no playoff berths to celebrate.

"We don't have a chance to make the playoffs," Johnson said. "It's frustrating. Every week it's the same kind of thing. We just didn't make enough plays to win. That seems to be the same story every week and that's what happened today."

The one knock on Andre was that he didn't catch enough TDs, whether it be his fault or not, but he is on pace to get over 10 which is a pretty good bench mark for a WR.

Andre is a nice guy but he has the power to do something not a lot of people can do, make McNair fire Kubes. If AJ speaks up and asks for him to be let go then I think McNair will listen up. Problem is I don't know if Andre wants to or is able to do such a thing.

Completely agree. Andre might have a say but not likely to do such a thing. On one hand, yes you wanna feel for Andre but as mentioned in this thread, if the dude wanted to bolt he could have left by now, and not signed extensions.

I hope Andre feels we need a coaching change. He's probably the only player in the organization that can go straight to Bob, and actually have some influence on the man.

I heard on the radio that they can't even compare because Barry has been i the playoffs 5 out of the 10 seasons he played. Andre has still been to 0 in 8 years.

Relax, guys: Andre Johnson is a Texan. Winning isn't that important to him.

Andre's Career is wasted while Kubiak LEARNS to be a coach
If Kubiak is back next year . .. Andre's Career might well be a bust

    Nope.

It's not Andre's job to get his team to the playoffs.

The 16 regular season games count, too.

'Dre, when he retires, will probably have completed a hall-of-fame career. All-time great? Probably not. But he's certainly on his way to a no-doubt hall-of-fame election.

    Bust? I think not.

Andre will go down as an all time great? Andre has already accomplished things no other receivers in the history of the league have. If he gets 1500 yards this season that would be another record breaking accomplishment. Andre is a first ballot hall of famer. I'd already put him in in NFL networks top 100 players of all time. But that's just my opinion.

Sucks, but I agree. He won't accomplish as much if none of it is in the playoffs.
