That episode was 50% brilliant, 50% meh. Christopher's subplot was freaking awesome. Not to mention this ep featured the first excellent "therapy" scene in years. I couldn't give two craps about AJ though. But I suppose how AJ handles "mob life" will impact how this series shakes out. Is Chris going to rat? Personally I think it's a red herring. I'll bet Tony's demise will come from another direction.
I thought it was a good ep, spoiled only by Robert Iler's always atrocious acting. He's really Keanu Reeves level bad. I bet that's a subconscious reason why they made him such a loser on the show. Never cast child actors - they f-cking suck, and then you get stuck with them for a freaking decade.
With 4 episodes to go, the only thing they've proven is how things can change on a dime with the Sopranos. Will Christofuh squeal? Maybe...if he's caught for killing the writer and forced to squeal. Will AJ go into his father's line of work, or will he flame out and die? Very interesting....I'm kind of with m_cable. Things happen so quick on this show that perhaps we won't see how the whole thing unravels until the actual final episode.
He gave the Arabs' names to the Feds, as well as a cell phone number. Maybe the Feds will bust the Arabs, who will then squeal on Tony? There are so many ways this thing can play out......
He's always had a low-key "rivalry" with agent Harris... he doesn't like him, but he doesn't hate him either. Additionally, Harris has always shown Tony respect, and over the last 2 years, he made it very very (very) clear that he was only working on counter-terrorism now... not organized crime. The thing that I'm leery about is that Harris is still very much working on the case against Tony... and simply using his "terrorism" angle to get more connections. Tony, being paranoid about terrorism/al-qaeda since season 5, is being lured into a pretty decent trap... if that's the case.
Sad that Christopher died.. =[ Tony seems in denial acting like it doesn't bother him.. and DAMNNN that girl in Vegas (Chris's ex) is freaking hot... Tony's a Lucky Guy..
Because he knew he was weak and he can tell a raft was present between the two of them. Man today's episode seemed like a whole bunch of filler crap.
Huh? I didn't get that at all. I thought it was clearly because Tony finally decided that Christopher was more trouble than he's worth. Basically he was honest about everything he talked about in the first session with Melfi.
Chrisofuh's ribs were sticking out of his chest. He wouldn't have survived anyway. The whole Vegas thing with the chick was strange. That was Christofuh's ex girlfriend? I think I'm missing a few things here.
He was drowning in his own blood. No way he survives. But I must say, WOW!!! Didn't see that coming. Although Tony's reaction wasn't a shock. His last line though, "I did it!" Was that an exclamation that he survived the power struggle between Chris and him? Or something else! He seemed very happy about the turn of events.
I think it was a combination of finally getting rid of Christopher and all of the problems that he has been causing Tony and also getting back his luck. Notice how Tony started winning all that money in the casino - he thinks that his winning ways are because he has gotten rid of his bad luck (Christopher).
Yeah, Tony killing off his cousin and one of his captains is just filler. I also thought he said "I get it!!!".
That's what I heard too and who knows what he was talking about since he was staring into the sun on peyote. For the comment about the doctor saying Christopher maybe having a chance, I think that was if he had been wearing a seat belt. This was an amazing episode. If the rest of this season goes like that, it will be something special. - Tony's predatory expression as he was smothering Chris - Tony's dream where he said way too much to Melfi - Tony's real session where he still said way too much to Melfi (Adriana) - Tony doing peyote (are you kidding me?) and winning at roullette three times in a row and then saying in realization "He's dead" (attributing his run of bad karma to Chris) Tony has an uncanny knack of getting rid of the weak links even when it does not appear he has all of the info that makes that person "whack"able - it's just instinctive. Amazing
