No point in arguing with such folk Sam. These are the same people who approach Proust's Remembrance of Things Past in the same manner they would People magazine. Let's just retreat back as cultural gatekeepers and pass judgment high atop our thrones.
Please. His turns in the Mexican and the Last Castle was barely above "That Guy" status. If you think he would have made more money doing supporting parts in movies instead of the Sopranos, you're completely and absolutely wrong. No way. As for the Sopranos being on the air for 10 years, does that really matter. Law and order has been on for 17 years, ER has been on for 13 years. What does that prove? Nothing. And your decade figure is so skewed. They only did 6 and a half seasons during those 10 years, and only about 13 episodes a season. So that's the equivalent of about 4 years worth of episodes from a regular network show. The decade argument that you continue to point to is a non-issue as far as I'm concerned. All I'm saying is that the Sopranos' success owes more to the already established fascination with mafia life than to the whole psychoanalysis angle. If you strip away the mob setting and do a show about the examination of some random degenerate sociopath is that going to be a success? How many people are going to watch that?
Life imitating art imitating life????? Just in time for Sunday night... http://www.nypost.com/seven/0608200..._weiss__larry_celona_and_patrick_gallahue.htm
OH MY GOD!!!! THAT FINALE WAS AMAZING!!! DAVID CHASE YOU ARE GOD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. MY GOD WHAT A JOKE
Spoiler I think it left you with the two options at your disposal. Either he got wacked in front of his family, hence the black screen, or he gets ratted on by Carlo.
I thought my DVR broke. If you were hit, that's what it would be like, you're tooling along like always and then...nothingness.
The dude in the bathroom came out and whacked the whole place...including the filming crew. He had some f-ing fire power he came out of there with. Damn.
