I would start Wood/Tate/KPJ/Green/Schroder and Gordon off the bench. But Silas would bench Schroder

Schroder performs best as the primary ball-handler, and we are still seeing what we have with KPJ at the point, so starting them together seems like it would neuter both of their skillsets.

A good coach, interested in the future of the franchise would bench Gordon, Wood, and Schroder for the rest of the season and play the young guys.

I think that's WAY too much to hope for.

Schroder has to start. The team has responded well to a natural PG. I think the Rockets take off in these final games.

    We get smaller.

Bench Wood, send Sengun to G-League

Absolutely! As evidenced by them losing their last game by 31 points. That's EXACTLY how you want the team responding to a shorter, older, less talented PG.

I'm assuming your primary goal is to solidify the tank while doing all you can to not develop our young players? Yes?

The team doesn’t have a PG. You can’t expect young players to develop without having a floor general on the floor to get guys in the spots needed. He can at least listen to what Silas wants to run and execute it. Not surprising how engaged the young guys looked when Dennis was running the unit.

Furthermore, I don’t care if we lose by 31. We are a rebuilding team and currently one of the worst teams in basketball. As a fan, I just want the team to look like they have a plan when they’re on the floor. I’m not defining this season on how badly we lose. The team is young and is outmatched almost every time they take the floor.

Its terrible watching KPJ dribble up the floor, dragging his feet, dribbling a few times and passing it off to Tate or even better… trying to penetrate, failing at it then shooting a step back 3. We need ball movement.

Yeah they do....KPJ is already a better PG than Schroder has ever been. I get why some people are having a knee jerk reaction to one game where the young guys played and Wood was out.....but we saw what happened the very next game. It was a fluke.

It's okay, I understand how short sighted casual basketball fans can be, but Schroder has a well established reputation for being a selfish player. There's no chance that has magically changed overnight.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. You guys will figure it out one day.

That is a very good question. I think the team would be better off with a serviceable PG and try playing KPJ at the 3

You endorse KPJ yet you dump on Schroder's reputation as a player?

    Ironic.

    LMAO

I endorse the better player. I don't endorse the lesser player with a worse reputation.

Shouldn't be that hard to understand.

KPJ has superstar upside if he ever puts it all together, Schroder has been a locker room cancer everywhere he's been AND he's a borderline scrub.

KPJ should definitely be starting when he's back. Shroder at 28/29 years old is already who he is as a player. We brought KPJ to be our PG and develop so benching him would be a mistake on top of other mistakes by the front office. But as I type that I realize I have no faith in the FO and they'll most likely bench KPJ.

Why was KPJ out? Because what sickness did he have?

They both have that in common. And you are real loose with the term "superstar"too. KPJ should work on being a professional first before we start connecting him with superstardom. And BTW, when a team gives you away the way the Cavs did KPJ, you're a "borderline NBA scrub." Both of these guys have issues.

Of the players currently on the team, KPJ is the most likely to become a superstar caliber player. Will he manage? Who knows, but it would take a REALLY poor judge of talent to not realize that.

The fact that he had issues in Cleveland in no way changes that.

Schroder has had "issues" on 4 NBA teams already and his talent level has him at best as a bench player.....and he's as good as he'll ever be already.

    There's simply no comparison.

KPJ is already better than Schroder ever was or ever will be.....better overall and better as a PG.

Don't worry, I'm sure at some point you guys will figure it all out, some of you guys just need more time than others.

I'll let you pretend you never pushed these kinds of ridiculous hot takes later when it's obvious you were wrong and you start to deny saying any of it.

Don’t care who is starting or who plays - we just need a crack at either Smith, Chet, or Banchero-
