i'm not sure either way to be honest. on one hand it's true a lot of refs are simply likely fed up w/ cousins from his SAC&NOP days. but on the other, i also have no doubt the league intends to make doncic mvp this season as their next chosen one w/ marketing up the ass this decade... so it's possible that could have contributed in part to goble the quintessential w****'s ultra quick trigger

Sabonis, Jokic, and Luka, and to be honest most European-leagues-raised players all play with a very similar style of drawing fouls and the types of plays they expect fouls on. Playing Luka, you start to get a feel for how annoying it is to play against Harden, when he just barrels into the paint between three people, contorts 3 feet to his side to brush his hair on someone, gets a foul call, and makes the And-1 because he's actually good.

Today's players are lucky they aren't playing games called by Jack Madden or Jake O'Donnell those two guys made Joey Crawford look like the voice of reason when it comes to calling techs on players. The crying a lot of the guys get away with would have got them tossed in the first quarter by Madden or O'Donnell.
