If Brent Barry signs with the Spurs after 30 days, isn't he ineligible to play in the playoffs?

I thought we used up our 15th slot on Bobby Jones already?

If Barry is indeed waiting 30 days before signing on with a team, then we might have a chance. Who knows, maybe Jon will campaign Houston to him.

It looks like it will be logic versus destiny.

Houston is where Barry basketball careers go to die.

That is what I've been wondering.

    Anybody have an answer?

    n/m.

The answer is that he can sign with any team and still be eligible for the playoffs. It doesn't matter when he's signed, it matters when he was cut.

If that's the case I don't really see a reason why he wouldn't return back to the spurs. oh well.

I heard you have to be on the team's roster before March 1st (that was from the Mavs pbp guy here in Dallas... don't have any links to confirm, sorry) in order to qualify for a team's playoff roster.

according to this article from last year
it says team can sign players and have them eligible for playoffs as long as its before playoff rosters are due
