Songs to get people dancing at my wedding

    The last wedding reception I went to was ... uh ... a little different from the ones implied by the previous posts.
    • The only song I've heard on a commercial radio station that they played was "Come Away With Me".
    • Aside from the bride's and groom's dances, the only other song that I could name was the ever-so-danceable "Take Five".
    • Most of the songs were either 50s-60s jazz (in normal time signatures, for the most part) or some sort of world music.
    • I don't think a single person danced that wasn't in the wedding.
    Does that sound good to you?

    I used to DJ (before and during grad school)), and I also had to compile a list (over 150) for our wedding a couple of years ago, but they're not all dance. Also, not too much current stuff, but did take care of the older gen. Just dance stuff?

    Would you like some to listen to help you select? How can I get it to you?

    Van Morrison always goes over well at weddings.

    I wanted to play "b****" by the Stones, but was persuaded not to by Mrs. rr. As a compromise, I got some SRV on the playlist.
