I just saw Jerry Jeff Walker with his son Django on Imus in the Morning. Django attends an arts school in Liverpool owned by Paul McCartney. He's also 6'5" and plays semi-pro basketball over there! We'll need a new 3 in 5 or 6 years.... Anyway, he has just released his first album. I think it is called "Texas on My Mind."
"I was born . . on the Llano Estacadooooooo" I don't know if it mentions Texas, but it should be mentioned here
Weird story about that song, my freinds parents were in England when that album came out, they had no clue what or who he was. They saw a billboard with a map on it, one of the directions said Texas, and another one said Hell, ( another one of his songs was "The Road to Hell". Of coarse it was a ad for the Album, they were trying to figure out what hell and Texas were doing on a map.
Chuck Berry - Promised Land "Someone help me get to Houston town, there are people there who care a little bout me and they won't let the poor boy down" Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers - West Texas Moon See title Dean Martin - Houston See title Bob Schneider - 2002 "Moved back to Austin about a year ago, drive a school bus and I don't drink no more"
This is true. That would make a good SAT question. Texas & Drinking::Country Music Bling & B*tches::Rap Music
