Who holds the record for most money made through NBA contracts? I would guess Shaq ($232 million through last season).
yeah like I said earlier in the thread Shaq has to be No. 1. Making even in the million dollar range didn't happen until the 90's and making over 10 mil didn't happen till Jordan in the late 90's. Shaq has made 20 mil in 6 or 7 seasons and well over that a couple of season. He also has about 10 seasons of 10+. KG has made 186 mil, Duncan 103, Kobe 107, Kidd 116, Iverson 117, Webber 158, etc. There are quite a few 100 mil earning guys but KG, Webber, and Shaq are the only ones way over the mark. Heck Shaq's old running mate, Penny, has made 120 that's money well spent right there. Shaq may very well hold it for a very long time because he was able to make so much so quick and with the limits now no one can do that. For instance LeBron has made 18 mil in his career not including this year. Last year he made the most ever at 5.8 mil. And SF3 has made 65 mil not including this year to McGrady's 97, and Yao's 30.
pipen and barkley openly showed their dislike for each other before pipen was traded, i forgot why but that is one of the reasons he hates HOU. And i respect the guy who brought up how unselfish he was taking such little money and Chuck himself. Pipen must have angered Chuck because he took that much less money for him
Pippen said Barkley was lazy. He also said (and I assume this probably angered Chuck more) that MJ told him (Pippen) that Chuck was lazy and would never win a ring because of that.
Barkley was not lazy, and pipen was just as good as jordan had him to be...people shouldn't talk like that, i feel bad for the guy hes a great and never won a C-SHIP. Besides i like the fact he talks crap about MAC, only makes him better.

NBA star players didn't start making the huge money that they make now until the mid to late 90s, with the collective bargaining of agreement that was signed in 1996 or so, I think. A few years into that contract, we had the lockout. I think because the owners couldn't bear the cost of the arms race that went on during that CBA.
Jordan deserved that 30 mill per season during those 2 years. When you look at his other salaries they were pretty lean. And with what he did for the entire sport, he was/is invaluable to the NBA. Always give respect to a man willing to sacrifice cash for the team. Maybe that's why he hates the rockets...cause he sacrificed all that cash and we couldn't give him a ring.
I thought he was in much better shap than the Dream during our last playoff year with both of them. We could have won the decisive game 5 againt Utah if Barkley was not hurt. I remember Utah went to the Final that year too
interesting. I never read anyone's profile page(not talking about facebook and myspace of course) before.
My goodness, 3mil a year to 30mil a year?!? Who did MJ bone to get that high of a raise? Oh yeah, the entire city of Chicago.
