Is there any way we can sign Walt to be the Rockets' official flowmaster?

I think re-signing Walt would be a good idea. He's too streaky to be a significant player, but he's a nice backup insurance policy to have, and I know that everyone on the team likes him. Every time you hear guys talk about their favorite teammates, they always include Walt Williams. I know it's not about making friends, it's about winning games, but I think this guy can help us win games, AND keep chemistry good.

Walt's one of those "good locker room" presences that many teams could use; plus, he brings an insurance policy at SF should Rice and Nachbar be limited due to injuries or inexperience; it may also allow Morris and Nachbar to be afforded some opportunities at backup SG from time to time.

I'm not advocating signing him to a huge contract or even giving him major minutes, but if the Rockets don't re-sign him, some other team will pick him up before the season starts. At the very least, he's an insurance policy; at the worst, he takes up a roster spot.

when he ca,me back from injury he was a ball hog, and made bad offensive descions, i don't even wanna talk aboutn his D.
